okie, since im bored and kinda free now. i've decided to list out the top 10 most beautiful soccer players for this world cup (at least to me). yesh! the long awaited post by some.. lolz.

1) Totti (ITALY)
my fav golden boy! i adore his strong jawline! #10 is my fav # for now! :)

2) Cannavaro (ITALY)
he's really good looking. i doubt anyone can argue with that. i mean, just look at his chiselled features!

3) Gattuso (ITALY)
he's definitely not what i'll call good looking when i first saw him last WC2002. but his performance shone through this time round to make me like him. i also managed to stumble upon some pixs when he was not sporting that awful beard of his and realised that he has really good features beneath that. :)

4) Shevchenko (UKRAINE)
he's exudes a very macho aura. ha.

5) Milevsky (UKRAINE)
he's a gem that is only discovered in the quarter-finals match against italy.

6) Kaka (BRAZIL)
cutie from brazil. kinda unbelievable.

7) Torres (SPAIN)
he's a fav for lotsa my friends. too boyish for me.

8) Iker Casillas (SAPIN)
one of the very few goalkeepers who are actually good looking. sorry, buffon!

9) Ronaldo (PORTUGAL not BRAZIL)
we all love a bad boy, dont we?

10) and sadly i can't think of #10. suggestions, anyone?

baa baa

im still suffering withdrawal symptoms from world cup 2006.
i got a rush whenever i spotted some coverage on it. be it a newsflash or a image on a magazine.
yes, i felt elated even when images nowadays are very very limited to cannavaro kissing the cup or holding it high up like a maniac.
im very bored or just sick.

and i miss travelling.
so so so much.
and it makes me hate my current job which doesnt allow me the time-off at all!
*grr*

boring updates

looking back, i realised my whole life revolved around fifa world cup 2006 and nothing else!
lol. its true. i breathed world cup, i saw world cup and i talked world cup.
heck, i even dreamt of gattuso last week.
why gattuso? dont ask me. i'll give millions to have totti than him.
but it just go to show how mad i am when it comes to the italy team.

okie, back to reality.
my life's pretty boring for the past month. mainly due to the world cup sapping away my energy for any other things.
still, i made time to catch some movies.
blockbusters to be exact.
1) Superman returns. boring show and i dont like the lois lane. i prefer spiderman/batman over superman anytime.
2) pirates of the carribbean 2. i like jack sparrow! he's my favourite disney character! :)

and i have nothing much to say here except that i hate my work.
arg! how boring/sad is my life!?
hopefully, the body scrub and massage will cheer me up tonight! *wide grin*

ITALIA: 4TH TIME WORLD CUP CHAMPS!!!

*woohoo*

i'm still reeling from shock. but definitely in utter ecstacy! :)
ITALY DID IT!
they earned themselves the 4th star on their jerseys!

to be honest, this morning match was kinda boring. and i really hate it that it has to end with penalties. thats always a cruel way to decide the winners.
i still feel that the penalty given in the 7th min is kinda dubious. as far as i can see, materazzi was going for the ball and seemed to pull himself back from tackling Malouda.
anyway, zidane sent it into the net and made my spirits sank. lucky ass! that ball went in despite hitting the bar. bleh.

luckily i only suffered for awhile before materazzi sent that wonderful header in! talking of this equaliser, im totally in awe with pirlo! he has proved himself again and again that he's one of the best attacking midfielder i ever seen! that corner cross was totally spot on. and i feel that he took on zidane much better than gattuso.. oops.

that pirlo (#23) and zidane in an odd position.

and im totally in love with cannavaro now. for his great leadership, for his superd ariel skills when he's only 1.75m, for not getting a single card for the 7 matches despite being a defender!
he's a different kind of captain as compared to maldini but he sure rises above the occasion for this tournament!
he's one of my favourites for italy team! together with totti, pirlo & gattusso!

cannavaro like an eagle, leaving the opponents to eat the dust!

look at how high he can jump while zidane looks on in amazement! ha.

no italy post goes without my golden boy.

im very fond of totti and have faith in him taking on any matches. but sadly, he came into and exit the world cup very very very quietly (lest for the winning penalty shot against the socceroos). let's hope i can still see him play a little for Euro 2008. dont think he will be back for world cup 2010, perhaps only as a supersub.

and so italy continues the cycle of entering the finals every 12 years, winning on alternate times.
1970 (1st runner up), 1982 (winner), 1994 (1st runner up) and now 2006 (WINNER!).
statistics can be amazing. like how they win germany in the semi-finals as they've never lost to the german at world cup level.
but its a good thing they won on penalties this time round for statistics ALSO shown that italy has never win on penalties before this morning.

after supporting them for 12 years and waiting for 12 years to see them finally lift the cup, i teared this morning. such a wuss. ha.

some lighthearted moments. materazzi putting an italian hat on the cup. iaquinta scratching his head over this bizarre move. totti, looks on with italy flat over his head.

and now, first thing first is to grab the newpaper for more coverage on the match. and finding a way to handle the withdrawal symptoms from no more world cup. and looking forward to 2010.

it has been a great 2006 world cup. :)

Forza Italia! **Go Italy!

"I feel that perhaps it wasn't a case of Germany playing badly.
It was a night when Italy just played too well."
this quote uplifted from the newpaper totally reflected what i think of the semi-final match on 5th july.

yes, azzuris is through to the FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *woohoo*
and it was a match well-played. one yellow card for the italy team for the whole match.
and fantastic goals by Grosso and Del Piero! especially the first one. i always have something for left foot shots.
im convinced italy will go on to lift the cup on 10th july! i've faith in azzuris and my golden boy!!

Grosso! teared in joy after scoring the decisive goal!

look how happy buffon was on the other side of the pitch!

totti looking very happy! :)

and proudly introducing world #1 defender (at least to me): Fabio Cannavaro to the world.

but it was a sad morning this morning. portugal went out after being in the semi-finals for the 1st time in 40 years.
zidane didnt perform much magic this time round. and i hate his team mates. most of them seem to not have much respect for him.
what a shame.

anyway, now that world cup is coming to an end, my list for the top ten most beautiful men in this world cup is coming up soon!

so stay tuned!

italy to the semi-finals! balalal!

ITALY IS THROUGH TO THE SEMI-FINALS!!!!!

next round is against germany but i aint nervous. in football, everything is possible and azzurris got it going good so far. ")

the match against ukraine has been thoroughly enjoyable. they showed the world their solid defence and fluid midfield. their attack can be improved though.
toni n totti is finally back on form, slightly. :P
now the question is, will they come back in time this wed?

3 man of the match for me for that match:
1) no doubt the first is gattuso. he was everywhere, he kept the team together, he made good passes, he kept ball possession, he tackled good without foul. what else can a team want?
2) buffon. he is good. and we all know that.
3) totti's cross to toni was totally right on spot. but when can he find the net himself?

how can a post on italy goes without a photo of my golden boy?
look ma, he's flying!

the only sad thing that comes out of this match is i'll miss shevchenko!!

he;s the ukraine one, if you are wondering.

just look at that body!

AND, i realised only that night that ukraine boosts the most handsome team in the whole damn world cup. yes, even more so than italy, spain or england for argument sake! how can i have miss that during their first match against spain is a mystery.

and this is the cutest of all (after shevchenko of cos)! 15 MILEVSKIY Artem!

cant see much here but trust me, he's a pretty boy!

okie, anyway argentina departure is a huge blow to me. i've never really see Messi played. sigh, but i guess at his age, he can still go on for 3 more world cups! wahahah.

brazil beaten by france is nothing surprising. just that i really have not much respect for france as a team. but they have zizou and i think he's great.

okie, going home now! tata.
