lunch update

okie...bo liao me is slacking at work and decided to update everyone on frivolous things!

1) Shiseido warehouse sale
went with my colleagues yesterday. terribly disappointing. there is very limited skincare products to start with and their make-up range is limited.
just imagine, it started at 10am...and by the time we reached at 11am ALL sunblocks are sold and mascara color were left with green and blue!
bloody hell. no offense, but who use BLUE + GREEN mascara. please own up, and i'll wipe the whole chunk off for you with my ipsa power eye make-up remover. bleh~
having saying so much, i still managed to buy:
- a shiseido pureness range moisturiser $8 bucks (believe it or not!)
- a shiseido io-performance moisturiser for my mum (freaking $25 despite 70% sale!) since it's more for matured skin. my filial piety shocks myself at times. ha.
- a premium shiseido brand moisturise (nobody heard of anyway...) for $30 bucks! it better be good...the original price is supposed to be freaking $800 (no kidding!) for a 30ml tub. *madness*
perhaps my face will glow after use. :) lets wait and see!

2) NATURAL SOURCE
my colleagues has 30% birthday discount so we went shopping during lunchie today!
in the end, i bursted my Dec budget and got myself 2 more beauty items!
1) hair removal wax - jacQ swear by this cold wax. it's supposed to make your regrowth slower and finer. wowwee! beautiful hairless legs, here i come!
2) eye cream - 40 bucks for a ridiculously big tub. hopefully it works! its so best-selling that it's out of stock! boo! can only collect it in 2 weeks time.

3) BINTAN TRIP
it's confirmed! im going to bintan (again!) with my colleagues this dec!
kinda looking forward to it! its a really short getaway (2D1N) but i guess we'll have fun!

4) MISC
最近，常常发脾气at 一些人。
是好事，因为我只对比较close to 我的人发脾气。
是坏事，因为脾气也太坏了一点吧。

还有，真得很烦。好讨厌when people have to 跟我。

my poor poor knees! :(

yesterday exotic dance was fun and sad at the same time!
our instructor continued to amaze us with the sexy, slick moves. im impressed!
but.....the moves took their toil on my poor poor knees as they involve dancing while kneeling on the floor...hence my kness are now bruised badly. *sobz*
and it was pouring freaking heavily when the lessons ended. Being the spoilt brats we are, grace, tanny and I decided to share a cab home. so we waited...waited... and waited....for f**king 40 mins and no cab was available!!
we tried calling through to comfort and all other available taxi companies but can't get through and when grace finally got through, no cab wanna pick up our request!
in the end, we can only dragged our half-drenched bodies and take mrt home like LOSERS after an hour of waiting! WTF!
and i bet candice was already at home then, warm and ready to hit the sack. damn!

grr...damn unhappy. so it was nearly midnight when i reached home given that lessons ended at 10pm. bleh~

-my company D&D where we will all be dressed up!
-x'mas eve party with the usual gang ~ dan said he got like 6 red wines waiting to be drank at his house! :)
-my birthday!! i'm only 24! i'm young!

met up with dan + zm on friday for awhile. both of them just finished their papers last week! congrats!! now you guys can have all the fun you want! can't wait to meet them & jx for dinner next thurs! its been a while since the 4 of us meet up.

Exotic Dance~ FUN!

EXOTIC DANCE IS HOT!!!! OUR TRAINER IS HOT!! she turned us on when she danced even though we are all girls. lol~

grace and my aim is to learn 50% of what our instructor has, then we'll push everyone down zouk platform and show off our sexy moves the next time we go clubbing. *anyone, wanna puke??* lol~
but the pace is so fast and time so little. i'm still trying to memorise the standard moves, where got time to master that "come hither" look that is essential in exotic dance!?

hmm...first lesson only. hopefully, by the end of the 6th session, we'll be more confident and and comfortable in our dancing.

btw, tanny and candice are taking the class with grace and me too! :)

Sunway Lagoon~ Here we come! & misc

dear dear and me are going for a short getaway next month! so excited~
to sunway lagoon at KL for 3D2N no less! It's been a good 9 years since I last went!
my guess is that it's like a mini genting over there. with theme parks, a mega shopping mall but minus the casino and cold weather. *heh*

i love oversea trips! glad to know that i'll have a mini-break before my coming peak next jan!


starting my exotic dance module 1 tomorrow evening with grace+candice. looking forward to it!
been one of my dreams to twirl round a pole sexily! lol~ but pole-dancing module is only available after completion of exotic dance module 1+2. bleh~ how long will that take??


i'm hooked on project runway! i simply adore drama-mama austin scarlett! and next week theme is wedding gown! i'm gonna catch it for inspiration!


anyway, were at thumpers with my colleagues last weekend. it's my first time there and the place is ridiculously small! one of my colleague got drunk. can you guess which of them was the drunkard one?

i love taking neo-prints! but ah long doesn't like to take simply cos it's "very" ex. but hey, its our 3 years 9 months anniversary, so we took neo-prints!!!

everyone should check out the neo-print machines at Heeren! they made your skin white and crystal clear. and there is some slimming effect too! and they are big and roomy with many many colored backdrops for you to choose from! and you just go nuts from choosing the various effects to play around with!

e'nuff said.

my favourite~TRAVEL!

just came home from jacQ's house warming at her apartment near Somerset. had a great time there, in particular when we started talking about ITALY, GREECE & TURKEY.

gosh, i miss ROME so fucking much. st peter, vatican museum, museo borghese, pantheon, trevi fountain, spanish steps, colosseum, roman forum and so much more.

is it better to revisit a place you absolutely adore and you know you'll definitely enjoy returning to or should the budget be spent on new destinations? the world is so freaking big and i'm like so freaking strapped for cash and time. damn.

i've been brainstorming alot about honeymoon destinations. decision lies solely on me so long i keep to the budget dear dear had set. wahahha.
asia is out for i TRULY have enough of it. we've been to m'sia, hong kong, bangkok (not that most people would choose such places as their choice honeymoon destinations..) and tokyo. i've been to seoul, shanghai and taiwan and him to philippines.
we've been to australia and new zealand is a little bleh~ for i'm a city girl.
america just sounded mad for honeymoon to me and exotic places like scandinavian or south africa is too much for our budget.
we've been to italy and france and we both love to explore the rest of europe. but again, the rest of europe like germany, spain, switzerland, belgium, austria etc will require longer time and higher budget too. the most our budget can sustain us is 2 weeks plus. *sigh*

so the ideal is...............the MEDITERRANEAN!! namely Greece & Turkey lah.

hearing JacQ raved about Greece & Turkey tonight made me just wanna catch the next plane there! After much reseach on the wonderful internet, i've selected my destinations!

rumored to have the most beautiful sunset in the world.

and the famous black beach. i think i can stay at santorini for a long long time.

and weirdly, its a fantasy of mine to go spice-shopping (dont ask me why for i know nuts about spice. the only spice i know is pepper and umm..curry powder?) in Turkey.

CAPPADOCIA
also known as the land of fairy chimneys. mother nature at its best! comparable to the 12 apostles along the great ocean road. one is formed by waves, the other by wind.


another 11 months before i can go travelling! i need a short getaway! someone spare me the cash and time!

meantime, another ONE month before my appointment with my designer to decide on my wedding gown(WG) & evening gown (EG)'s designs. i need to do some serious research! any comments? bustier? low-back? halter? long sleeve (not that i'll necessarily take up your advice)? long train? lace? organza? duchess satin? i need suggestions!

am i spending too much?

am i spending too much on my wedding? i surely hope not. dear dear has been hinting more than once that what we are committing to (bridal boutique, photography services etc) are rather high-end. is it really this case? hmm...

okie, let's go through one by one. bridal boutique package: i strongly feel that we should engage in one which has all the following attributes.
1) a designer whom you can communicate with and designing skills which you trusted in and take a liking to.
2) a boutique where the environment is cosy and the staff is friendly. remember, you are gonna need all the help from this place (be it the make-up artist, designer, florist etc) to make the whole event a smooth one.
3) reputation. you just have to check forums and with those who engaged the boutique before to get a better picture on how honorable it is in servicing. if not, go with your gut feeling.

anyway, where was i...oh bridal boutique. obviously, i want one that can gimme my "ideal" gown. tell me, which do you prefer? this... ?

the answer is quite obvious, no? the thing is, for bridal boutique, every cent counts. if you have like $10k to burn, by all means go to Tan Yoong and you'll get this fairy-like gown below:
get the idea? every cent counts.

so we've establish the fact one can't possibly scrimp alot in the gown department.

moving on, let's talk about studio/outdoor photography. this is really dependent on individual's views. for those who are camera shy or of the notion that albums can only be left to collect dust after all the hassle of wedding may choose to spend less or hell, just scrap the whole idea of having photoshoot at all.

but whats the point of having beautiful gowns but no photos to capture them? and whats the point of engaging a photographer whose skills aint good. again, in my opinion, every cent counts. you cant possibly get one who shoot fantastic shots but charges low fees.

dear dear kept on saying how his friends got their bridal and photography package at half of our prices. i say, the quality differs (at least i think so :P).

*grr* whatever. what we've committed is still within the budget we set together, so let's just wait. time will tell that our investment is worth it. *bleh*
