Merry X'mas world!

my favourite day of the year came and was over so fast that i barely registered it.
was feeling kinda down for the past 2 weeks. i've started 2006 on a depressed note.
i really dont wish to end 2006 or start the new year on the same note too.
but it seems like that's the direction im heading *sigh*
hubbi has been very encouraging and supportive in trying to draw me out from my owndark private world but at the end of the day, i still need to do it myself.
the fact the i know that im depressed (though it helps since the first step to get out of depression is to RECOGNIZE the fact that you are in one) still doesnt do much for me.
still, i managed to nab some fun here n there with my dear hubbi, fantastic family & wonderful friends.
so alternating between cheeriness from the festive season & blues from every other thing else, x'mas went past in a blur.

shall try to focus on the positive. life is really too short to mull over issues.

holiday for moi started from friday (22nd dec):
had a mini x'mas celebration with my colleagues in late noon. not really enjoyable as my boss joined and everyone knows how much i dislike her, ya?
it was off to meet hubbi in town to catch the "curse of the golden flower". gong li & chow yun fatt were superd in their acting. especially him, who really brought life to his character.

23rd dec:
spent early noon playing xbox RPG game with hubbi. heh, was catching on the game bug from him. and i think im quite good with my elfen character.
accumulating cash to shop for weapons/armour/potions is the best part of the game.
no wonder the hubbi said my virtual character is just like me. :)

went to catch "night at the museum" in late noon at orchard (again..). show is funny but not as funny as what i would expect.
more of family humor when im expecting "zoolander"-esqe humour. hmm...

met up with my mum,dad & brother for dinner at crystal jade palace at taka. my treat since its my dad bday. food is so-so & a 'lil over-priced. should have brought them to chef chan instead.
learnt that brother has passed his "N" levels. really happy about that! hope he will do so for his "O" level in coming year!

cant resist shopping for accessories again and bought 2 necklaces again! one from topshop & the other from aldo.

24th dec
spent a quiet day with hubbi at home doing some housework chores. we left the house around 5+ for some spot shopping at raffles city before heading to menotti for our dinner reservation.
the food was so-so only (*bleh*) and choices were pretty much limited as they served set menu for x'mas eve. the only good thing is pricing is reasonable at around $50 per pax since we've 20% disc for UOB card. :)

then it's off to meet the gang for x'mas eve party at a KTV in chinatown! :))
though its only a short period from 10pm-3am, we managed to have a blast of fun! singing KTV was really fun and we took all kind of silly photos!
gift exchange was nice and simple too and i got myself a set of nice towels from esprit. thanks, ser!

25th dec:
went walk walk around raffles city & marina square with hubbi. was trying to shop in topshop/selfridge/zara with all the sale going on. but alas, sale items are all either out of size or really horrendous design. i didnt manage to get anything at all for myself!

in the end, the hubbi got himself a novel & i got myself something which i wanted for a very long time (again, a very long time here is around few months.heh.).
taking advantage of the 20% xmas sale, i got myself this FINALLY!

*yay* now i can read up on everything about my favourite band! *sweet*

okie, i hope i can keep up the good spirits till my bday which is in a week time! :)
i really hope i can start 2007 in a positive/upbeat note. wish me luck! :)

好心情!

今天心情大好特好. 很奇怪. 昨晚才刚觉得自己似乎又要陷回低潮与沮丧. 人真的很奇怪.
说说开心的事吧! 为何好心情? 好多原因!
1)早上去了mariott hotel 上课程. 还能在它餐厅用餐! 真棒!
2)公司刚给我们一人＄２００　的NTUC vouchers! 虽然这么说很安娣，但我很开心能用这些vouchers去购买东西！
３）薪金将会在这星期五汇进户口,好让我过个开心的圣诞节!
4)最后，今天老板不在．我要早早收工回家！

请让我开心到明天！不想又低沉下去了．．．．．．．．．．．

anyway, just came back from vivo city. yes, my 2nd time there for this week. im in love with that place! i've been going there non-stop ever since it opened. heh.

it has all (well, almost all) shops that i want!

was at my colleague's housewarming before there. quite a nice gathering and the son of one of my other colleague was absolutely cute! i totally adore him! :)

went to vivo for a quick dinner and caught "eragon" with hubbi. the show kinda sucks. i have no wish to catch the sequel at all. i guess LOTR just sorta kill all other kind of fantasy/adventure shows. except for harry potter maybe

anyway, am into buying accessories nowadays. look what i bought for myself in the last 2 weeks! :)

im in such a shopping mood but im still decidedly broke. so shopping just gotta wait till jan i guess. still, i cant resist buying 2 bras from wacoal yesterday! hehe.

everyone pls visit isetan scotts for wacoal lingerie (up to 70% off!). nice!

and i bought a topman polo tee for hubbi yesterday too. poor as i am, i still think he deserve that as xmas gift. luckily it fits him well and he likes the top!

been down with a flu since friday. now getting drowsy from medication.

golden nugget of the day
a very tired me stumbled out of bed to bath this morning. after which,hubbi made a bizarre request from me to take a photo of him for his passport renewal.
so before long, he was decked in his best pink shirt, posed infront of our off-white wall. me, trying my best to take the photo without blocking the sunlight on his face. is this a normal thing to do on a wednesday morning? if so, why am i feeling so bemused?
anyway, was at the bus stop when i received a sms from hubbi: "i love you, piggy."
dont know where that comes from but it sure perks up my morning that little bit. :)

attended GS's wedding yesternight at intercon. the decor is really really nice.
gave the wedding a fairylike & grand ambience. kinda different from my own one which is cosier i feeL?
food was nice & i had fun catching up with my friends there!

hubbi and me went shopping during the weekend and we bought the watch that i wanted for very long (is 3 months considered long? :P)!
but he seems to be much more excited over it than me, ha.
though its supposed to be a bday gift for me, im starting to wear it already. heh.

our cruise has been confirmed as well! yes, we are sailing off in mid jan'07! *yay* been a good 9 years since i last went for a cruise! and this will be the first time for hubbi!
im sure we will enjoy our time on board! :)

x'mas eve dinner reservations have been made too! was thinking to myself that just one year ago, we were too poor to make any proper reservations, and dinner was eaten at just NYDC (if i didnt rememeber wrongly). hmm, wedding can really be a costly affair!
now that its over, we can finally reward ourselves properly for important days.....

i bought ah long his bday prezzie during the weekend too! its a ray-ban shades and i think we got it at quite a good price. anyone interested in getting shades can consider lucky plaza?
the shope there have some good discounts going on.
and he's worse than me. he started wearing them when he goes to work now, DESPITE its only a short walking journey for him to work.....

i want to go shop shop shop! but i really did over-spend for last mth n this mth.
now that wedding is over, i suddenly feel very cash-rich (its definitely just an illusion) & i've been spending on stuff like there is no tomorrow. *madness*
though im very tempted to spend my AWS to the very last cent, i've decided not to.
its really time to start saving for myself. apart from our common savings, i've peanuts for my own savings.
really peanuts. this has to STOP! whoever heard of having 3-digit savings for a 25 year old!

but weekend strolling along orchard proves to be much fatal than i thought. *grr*

i know this is an exceedingly long post but i always feel the need to be chatty during my month (yes, its my birthday month now!), so bear with me.
just want to say my dreadful presentation and meeting are over!
though i made a couple of boo-boos during the presentation, it went relatively smooth. *wee*
now only left with the appraisal session & monthly meeting session. i can do it!

im heartbroken.

那里好大好大, 至今仍去不到第三楼. 呵呵....

下班后能吃一顿好的,能和他拉扯着一些没完没了,也蛮不错的.

希望这样的生活模式可以蔓延下去!

DECEMBER - busy month ahead!
so many things happening in this month. both good & bad though the good definitely outweigh the bad! :>
lets talk about the bad and get it out of system fast. i've a presentation coming monday and i so dread it!
apart from the fact that this is the first time i'll be presenting on the topic and to a particular group of management, my slides are only just done 30 mins ago!
now awaiting review from my 魔头. i really hope monday will come & go fast!
after the presentation, our department will still be having the monthly dreadful meeting with , yes, 魔头 again! meeting has been scheduled to be 3 hours long. madness!
AND, we've another meeting to discuss on next year's projects! i DREAD to know what projects i'll be assigned to. *blah*

hubbi got a job offer which pays better than his current one! :) and he's getting some sort of bonus this month too!
and what's in it for me from all this? hehe... hubbi is gonna treat his parents and me to a cruise in Jan! he's gonna make the purchase of a watch that i really really love possible by subsidising the purchase. *yay* that counts as my bday pressie. :) have thought of asking him to just buy the watch for me but think that'll kill him. lolz~
and im making him to treat me to a nice restaurant for x'mas eve. how is garibaldi? anyone tried there before? i'm thinking of that but he's not too keen on italian food. bleh.

talking about x'mas eve, i'll be joining the gang for KTV session after dinner with hubbi! i've booked the choco log-cake from coffee bean and it sure look nice!
we'll have tons of fun on the 24th, that im sure of! *grinz*
there;s a housewarming cum x'mas celebration session at my colleague's house next sat & another one at our house for his friends next sun. :) it'll be fun too im sure!
& DnD @ york hotel in this month too. not exactly fantastic, but spending the evening with colleagues cant be THAT bad right?
oh, and how can i forget, GS's wedding @ intercon coming tuesday! fun fun fun! :))

what can i say? december=busy month!
hope i survive with minimal hangover & no burnt holes in pockets!

weekend feels pretty short to me. friday night was a relaxed one with suling popping over to my place to see some photos and getting excited over U2 music all over again. *heh*
it's really nice to have friends who share the same mad passion with you on the same thing. i guess she is the only one i can mull over U2 lyrics, exclaim over the strings & discuss on bono's personality.
oh, and i really cant get enough on "sometimes u cant make it on your own"! its fantastic! :))

hubbi and i just spent the night chatting away after she left. as i said, it has been a relaxing friday night. but i fell asleep soon after 12 despite a relatively "做没" week. why that happens is still a mystery to me. maybe im just getting old.

saturday is a mad rush for me! i woke up at 10am, saw the dentist at 11am, reached home by noon for lunchie with hubbi, then its out to the dermatologist appointment at orchard at 245pm, then meet ah long at far east to collect my coach bag from the cleaning shop at 4pm, then its back to tiong bahru for haircut for me. by the time my haircut was over, its already 630pm! and i've to rush back to my house to have dinner with hubbi & my in-laws!
by then, i was totally pooped! and i only managed to sneak a glance & barely touch my new dining set delivered to our house at late noon before we headed out for dinner.

after dinner, i just want to head home after our grocery shopping and rot the night away. and head home we did & i've a relaxing night again. just sitting around, reading comics & chatting with hubbi. and i fell asleep before 1 again. my weekend can be so short nowadays! :{

sunday was nice, though kinda packed again. woke up at 10+ and get out of house soon after for lunchie at my parents' house. very happy to see my mum after like 3 weeks? (im such an infilial brat,huh?) & chit-a-chatty to her non-stop about my honeymoon (we brought the photos for her to see). sunday noon is really good to lounge around doing nothing but reading magazines at mum's place. :))

hubbi accompanied me to tampines to walk walk before i met up with the gang in late noon. we both feel like going back to those "拍拖" days when we normally spent our sundays at TM then he'll sent me home before heading to his gombak home himself. i realised i really miss just window shopping with him at such heartlands areas. :))

yesterday meeting with the gang was full of "冷场"s. perhaps as per what grace said, our tolerance level for one another is at all-time low currently. hmm.
let's hope x'mas eve will still be a bash regardless!

weekend is here again!

been a rollercoaster week for me.
happy note
my boss is not around for a good part of the week. imagine my joy! and my productiviy for work has been an all-time low. heh.
met up with 2 of my favourite guys in my life on wed for a nice dim sum dinner at geylang. been so long since i just sit down with the 2 of them, talking about everything under the sun and just laughing till our tummies ache. *warm fuzzy feeling* *smile*
i still stand by the theory that everyone changes, no matter what they choose to believe otherwise. but so long we are changing in the same direction or making the effort to adapt to each other's changes, relationships can still be sustained.
i hope this applies to my friendships. :)
my dining table is finally set to be delivered to our house tomorrow!

sad note
i can foresee a real busy week next week. no one to blame but my own laziness. whatever not completed this week will need to be done by next week. simple logic but really scary!!
had an argument with ah long during mid-week. :( sigh. his and my bad tempers are really bad for any kinda arguments. hopefully, going forward, we can both curb our tempers (me,especially!).
due to our fight and lack of sleep, i got migraine this week too. i hate it when i started seeing stars. and it was so bad till i went to puke. but as usual nothing came out which made me feel all the more worse. *grr*
