i did it!
a small step but nevertheless I DID IT!
i brought wormy out alone on monday!
was on leave and at home with wormy alone. decided to bring him along as i went to collect photos from our neighbourhood & pay bills at the AXS machine located at the MRT station.
the whole trip took ard 30 mins or less but I DID IT.
managed to "load" him into the baby carrier myself, brought umbrella, locked doors etc by myself! *yay*
baby, next time mummy bring you go tiong bahru plaza walk walk ourselves, okie?
now, the next step is to find a suitable baby bag for me to bring along when out with baby alone.
a backpack one would be good but the current one we've is sling on one shoulder. hmm...
still, im glad i did it! one more step closer to independent mummy!!

2008 is travel year..hopefully!!!
im back in action! back in the travel scene!
will be departing for the land of the rising sun end mar with mummy + brother! *wee*
just got news that average temp is between 7-18 degree celcius! goodness, wonder how can i keep warm in that kind of climate. *bleh*
wanted to wear tights+skirt there initially, thinking the temperature is a comfortable 20+ degree celcius. now cannot liao, too damn cold.
whatever. disneyland, here i come!
the only drawback is i'll miss wormy sooooo much for the 7D6N im there. :(
i really hope my MIL & hubby will take good care of him. dont let me come back to a baby whose routine is all screwed up! i ll BITE! *grr*
oh, and hubby and i are contemplating to go to europe once again this june! :))
at 1st, the plan was to go paris+nice+monacco with the in-laws and the husband.
aint exactly jumping at the idea since ive been to paris and holiday-ing with in-laws just aint the same, yes?
ANYWAY, the old folks decided against it cos think its too expensive (despite their son willing to treat them the trip).

so now, no more france trip! ah long is ready to go either spain+portugal or east europe with me! *yippee*

V-day 2008
as the years progressed, v-day has become less & less significant.
esp. this year when we have wormy. but im glad hubby & i still make an effort to go out for a proper dinner and spend some quality "us" time. :)
baby was left at my mum's place since wed night as usual so we've the whole of thursday evening + night to ourselves.
hubby suggested Akashi restaurant given my liking for jap food. so we made reservations for the vivo branch one day beforehand.
the food was good and reasonably priced, i think. after that, we went window-shopping ard vivo (a luxury long forgotten, ha). wanted to get hubby a top but in vain. just cant find a suitable one.
and we browse watches! and now im hooked on Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso series! a dangerous liking, esp. the tendency of me over-spending on do-i-really-need-this things when i have the spare cash.
AND my bonus coming up, will i or will i not spend it on JUST A WATCH?
hubby says no. my head says no. but my frivolous heart says "OH YES!".
oh well, we shall see. i didnt buy the longines moon-face watch that i fancied last time right. and i DIDNt buy the Omega speedmaster lady watch as well right?
after vivo, we went home to watch tv together. been long since i huddled with the husband on the couch, snacking on stuff. :) nice.

and it helps that ur hubby not that into sashimi as you. means you get to eat ALOT. hiaks.

JUNO IS BRILLIANT!
caught the show with ah D yesterday. really glad i did so for the show is marvellous!
original story, witty dialouge and not-to-mention good acting!
in general, would label the show to be a heartwarming comedy. not unlike "dan in real life". :)
if you like "thank you for smoking", you'll like this show. basically, the characters are just shooting their mouth off with all kind of clever funny phrases.

年初四！
today is one of my fav. day of CNY! gathering @ my mum's place! every year, most of my maternal relatives will gather @ my mum's place on the 1st sunday of CNY for fun + food!
so today we (ng family) woke up bright + early to prepare for the day. were supposed to go scotts isetan before heading to my mum's.
but lazy hubby + me napped with wormy after his bath and when we woke up, its already 2pM! so we just bathed and headed to my mum's straight.
blackjack was on full force when we reached at 3+ and we joined in the game till 6+pm! yay! we are hardcore gamblers (only in CNY, hiaks)!
hubby played moderately and won a goodwill $10+ from the playing. wheras me! the greedy one, played with a borrowed $10 (yah, yukky me!) from mum and continued till i become the dealer for the last 20mins and proceeded to win $100+! *whoopee*
drinks were on me for dinner. lol. soooo fun!
okie, some photos. anyway wormy's clothes were all from mothercare (nice, nice!), courtesy of my mummy! heez.

CNY day 2
CNY day 2 is ober! super fast! and i feel i didnt do much today.. :( though i wakey up super early this morning at 7+am..
anyway, wormy must be real tired out from yesterday's activities. he K.O. at 845pm last night and slept through till 9+am today! he woke up twice at 11+pm & 630 am for his feeds and went back promptly to sleep. poor wormy. but good lah, hubby and i managed to catch "星梦奇缘" which i recorded from CNY eve day.
the show was surprisingly good and i cried buckets at the end when andy lau aged so rapidly and the truth was told to his dad. *sobz*
i guess the show gets to me because it showcases 2 of my greatest fears:- 1) dying 2) regret in life. :(
so we brought wormy out to tiong bahru to do some grocery shopping at NTUC in the morning after his bath+feed. and by the time we reached home, he was tired out and soon nap after that. hubby + me joined him on that and so the whole ng family was lazing around the living room for a good 45 mins in the living room ard noon. lolz.
after which, we made our way to my gramps (paternal side) and stayed there for an hour or so before sending my parents back to ubi. wormy is staying overnight there for the night so ah long + me can go his friend's house for MJ!
but i didnt play much + not very lucky too. i lost $8 for the limited time i played and ah long absorbed for me. ha. he himself is much luckier and won some pocket money for the next few days.

CNY 2008!
the long-awaited CNY is finally here!
CNY eve
woke up bright + early yesterday morning happy! for its CNY eve! even went to work with a leap in my steps. hiaks.
morning went past in a zoom with me doing minimum work. before long, its time for my department lou hei and it was fun in general. :)
and then its 130pm! and i made a mad dash home... to prepare to set off to my mum's for reunion dinner.
lucky hubby was home by 1 pm and he bathed the little wormy well. so once i reached home, i quickly set off to do stuff - wash\keep/fold clothes, prepare wormy stuff (ie: milk powder\diapers\hankies\extra set of clothing etc), boil water etc.
and then its *weeee* off to my mum's place!
me + wormy..pardon my messy hair. very busy preparing stuff before this shot.
fyi, thats wormy's ABC mat in the background. we've laid his mattress on the floor even though he has yet learn to roll. but its better safe than sorry. :)
reached my mum's by 3+. after settling baby, hubby and me went to TM to catch "CJ7". the show is quite a letdown, i would say. expect it to be a comedy but max. only 20% of the show is funny and it lasted all of an hour and a half only.
not sure what the show is trying to say but definitely not up to my expectations! whats wrong with chinese films nowadays! even stephen chow's shows cant make it! :(
reached back my mum's ard 630pm and we've our reunion dinner! its a nice quiet affair but i kinda miss having the dinner at my gramps instead. where i'l see all my uncles/aunties/cousins etc. and we have to take turn eating at the dining table by generations simply because theres too many pple! im talking abt 20+ pple in a 3 room flat. lol. i miss the good old days.. but now though we still go to gramps place on CNY day 1, reunion dinner is back to own's house. hmm...

i kinda dread today. scared that wormy will have his nap time all screwed up. scared that he'll get over-stimulated from all the different pple playing with him today. scared he'll come home at night a cranky baby who needs to cry for a few hours to wind down before settling.
lucky all kinda went well today. managed to sooth him to sleep at 845pm though it took me ard 15-20 mins cooing to an angry screaming baby. lol.
but now, he's sound asleep with wormy pappy besides me as i blog away. hee.
so today i woke up at 9am only to find the 2 wormys still very much sound asleep. evil me went to wake them up as we needed to start the day early for house-visiting!
after bathing + feeding wormy, we were ready to set off at 11+ :)

in short we went house hopping: my-in-laws house->hubby's gramps->my gramps (maternal side). we stayed the longest at my gramps house from 3+ till 7pm! very fun there lah! soo many pple and blackjack is very ON there ha. in the end, hubby won $10+ while i won $30+! heh. small money but big enjoyment from all the laughing and playing.
tomorrow going to my paternal gramps and hope we dont have to stay long. not too close with them.. :P then wormy will stay overnight at my mum's place at night while hubby and me will go play MJ from evening till late night!

时间真得不够用！
时间真得不够用！
每天忙忙碌碌（or maybe not really..:P) 工作，回到家已是七点多。
吃晚餐，更宝宝玩玩，帮宝宝洗洗脸，再安抚他睡就已经是九点出。
再来就是做做家务（bit by bit, if not 累积起来会有够吓人！），如洗衣服，扫扫地etc。
然后冲个凉就十点多了！
睡虫就会在此刻侵袭，重重的睡意挥之不去。。
然后，俺就会心不甘，情不愿的准备就寝。
不到一会儿，已是六点半。又得喂宝宝喝奶奶，然后新的一天又开始了！

我之前买的衣服，包包等，都还原封不动的坐在他们的纸袋里！
根本没时间拿出来！有没有再夸张点！？

and then i went on a shopping spree once again....
the husband gave me words of wisdom recently: sale, we can only buy things from a sale.
how true is this! with all the CNY sale going on ard, its hard not to shop, ya?
and so.... i buy bUY n BUY for the past week. :P
1) went raffles city shop shop with hubby + wormy yesterday and guess what? KATE spade is having 30% sale!!! and the bag that i always wanted (for like the past 2 mths...) is one of the sale items! with hubby's approval, i went ahead and get it! yay, just like that! *happie*
i got the orange bag (got to choose between red, white, black + orange. as i said, orange is secretly a fav. color of mine!), suitable for CNY..lol.
2) topshop having sale or sorta. there's no sign anywhere but certain designs are tagged down. chanced upon this very nice top going at 40% off! no way am i going to pay $80+ for a top but $53? hell yeah! hiaks. lucky those 2 tops that i got from topshop last month for CNY are still at original price.. if not, heart damn pain. :)
3) robinson having sale....! i got myself yet another pair of shoes! actually not alot, this CNY only got myself 2 new pairs (unlike the 4 pairs last CNY!). both are flats, no thanks to wormy. got to wear safe shoes for the time being carrying him..
anyway this flats that i bought is damn comfy.. original px is at a gagging $189! cannot imagine anyone buying at the original price.. but robinson having 50% +10% off, so i got it at $85! not exactly cheap but its really worth the price for its comfy level. :)
4) LVER got 10% off if you pay by AMEX card! i got 2 very nice tops from there @ vivocity.
so now ive a lot of new tops for CNY but no bottoms. :(
no mind.

3) robinson having sale....! i got myself yet another pair of shoes! actually not alot, this CNY only got myself 2 new pairs (unlike the 4 pairs last CNY!). both are flats, no thanks to wormy. got to wear safe shoes for the time being carrying him..
anyway this flats that i bought is damn comfy.. original px is at a gagging $189! cannot imagine anyone buying at the original price.. but robinson having 50% +10% off, so i got it at $85! not exactly cheap but its really worth the price for its comfy level. :)
4) LVER got 10% off if you pay by AMEX card! i got 2 very nice tops from there @ vivocity.
so now ive a lot of new tops for CNY but no bottoms. :(
no mind.
i cant believe CNY is like THIS WED! *yippee* looking forward to all the ang baos (for wormy).

wormy is 100 days old today!
wormy is 100 days old today! time flies, hor?
wakey up early to play with him, feed him + bath him. simple joys that i miss during the weekdays!
dressed him up in one of my fav. romper from mothercare!

hubby + i rested at home, watching DVD (or rather i) cos "881" proved to be too boring for him. lol. baby starting to have an interest in TV! guess thats bad.. lucky he fell asleep for his nappie when we were watching the show. no TV watching (keep to minimum lah) for wormy till he's 2!
at late noon, we started preparing for outing to centrepoint! Times is having 25% sale storewide for its opening! *wee*

and its shop shop shop for us! i got Gina Ford's "The contented baby's 1st year" from Times. quite a steal at 25% off :) and a new cloth book for wormy. though ive not been most diligent with reading to him. ha.
went to robinsons and let wormy had a go at thevery popular jumperoo!
he enjoyed the jumperoo despite his not-so-convincing expression. heh.
hubby and i were considering if we should get it. but at $239, its really too much. perhaps we can rent it just like what Augustine did for his daughter. hmm....
bo bian. i dont believe in spending so much on toys as compared to books/clothes for him. heh.
i shall be his biggest playmate!
back home, we wiped him down and feed him and quickly settled him to zzz by 9pm. getting past his bedtime made him a very angry little terror!
im all ready for sleeping!!
p/s: i finally shed ONE more kg from dont know when. sooo long to kick that ONE kg off. *pui*
so now im officially at 56kg. ONE(or maybe 2, for i cant really remember exactly whats my pre-preggy weight..) more kg to go!
