updates on baby YZ!

and so the baby has turned 8 mths old last thursday! can't believe how time flies! he'll be celebrating his 1st year birthday in 4 mths time!

and since he can jolly well crawl around and his sleeping position is no longer like when he was an infant, we shifted him to sleep on a mattress next to our bed.
though it was hubby and my plans to move him to another room to sleep by himself when he turns 18 mths old, but i must say i'll miss him next to me when the time comes. :(

sometimes when he flips around and make noise during the night, i'll just scoop him up from the matterss and let him sleep in my arms for awhile before putting him back.
the feeling of his smelly head under my nose and his thunder thighs next to my hips is irreplaceble. :)

and the little one sweat buckets! dont know if its their higher metabolism rate?
especially after a milk feed in the afternoon will turn him into a little sweat machine!

is like DARN cute lor.

caught "Wanted" with hubbi last evening. glad we did that instead of "Get Smart". though steve carrell is dorky kinda cute but give me mcavoy anytime. haha.
in case you don't know:
-he's the cute faun in Narnia 1
-he's the cute doc beside Forest Whiteaker in Last King of Scotland
-he's the cute cute housekeeper son opposite Keira Knightley in The Atonement

he really very cute lah. and he's only 29 with good acting chops to boost.
i reckon he'll go a long way! :)

anyway, the film is highly entertaining with its fast dialogue, even faster action sequences.
but dont expect too much logic in the action scenes. the plot does make sense though.
i'm rating this a 4 star.

I found out that...

the day can be very long still when you knock off before 6pm.
when i alighted from my mrt station yesterday at 6pm and felt the warm evening sun on my face, i was thinking to myself: "hmmm, I can grow to like this." :)

i just cant resist.

and so my shopping list for east europe is:
1) 6 tops, mainly from H&M (hence my love proclaimed for it in the previous post)
2) 1 denim shorts
3) 1 pair of shoes (red i like)
4) 1 bag (!?) so what is this?
with the blessing of the husband, i've added yet another bag to my collection. *muhaha*

actually not alot what. given the 2 weeks time span. :)

and so the trip screwed up my body timetable.
so that i now suffer from insomnia at night.
and i poo in late mornings instead of in the evenings. cool.
okie, too much details. hiaks.

and italy lost to spain. no more reason to follow the euro cup.

im back!

and believe me when i say i got so much to ramble! all seems so random but i just want to shout!

1. baby YZ has grown at an alarming rate!
during our 2 weeks absence, baby has reached new milestones. a lil' sad that im not around to witness these 1st hand. but still, glad that im back with my precious lil' one again! :)
so he can crawl now!! and he can pull himself to a standing position using the sofa/side of cot etc! and he seems to be able to do the goodbye action when prompted!
but he still dun know how to sit upright without support for long. so when he want to come down from standing position, he may not know how to break his fall by sitting down at times and hence, end up knocking his head on the bumper mat/side of cot. *ouch*

and he sure can babble more nowdays and we are very sure we heard the distinct "papa" a few times!! my little baby is growing up so fast. i wll miss the baby him when he turns to a toddler... but still love to see him grow up day by day! :)

anyone has the remote idea that this song is by U2!? didnt know this song is by them. very happy to hear this on flight. :)

3. Alessandro Nivola
caught this gem of a man in this show "carolina" which i caught on flight. *yum yum*

4. 2.55 Chanel
is a good $1k cheaper over at EU countries than here in sg after tax rebates and all! i am so gonna get it the next time i pop over to any EU countries!

5. my fear for flying
has decidedly worsen. long haul flights add fire to fuel. this is so not going with my travel plans. *sob*

6. when will H&M come to singapore? i simply adore its clothings!! at very reasonable pricing too. i went ga-ga over there for its clothes!

7. very lucky to be in europe when euro-cup 2008 is on! get to see matches almost every single day of the trip during evening time back at the hotel cos its showing ard 845pm over that side. :) and i got to see italy in actioN!! wow wee! and they are through to the quarter finals! gonna meet spain tonight which sadly i cant catch. boo.

anyway the football festive is pretty much in the air. ESPECIALLY when i was in austria which was 1 of the co-hosts with switzerland this year! nice!

GSS is a sham!
was out with candice almost the whole afternoon along orchard stretch trying my best to buy stuff. and guess what? bad sale! alot of brands are having no sale on regular-priced items. what they have is just a sale corner - attractive sale of 30-70% ya, but the design range is atrocious! dun know dig out from where. all not nice one. sigh. so in the end i bought like NOTHING! (except for some small stuff for baby, but that doesnt COUNT!) *grr*

in the end, we went window-shop for all the atas bags. really v FUN! nice to browse through bags with a bag-fanatic like candice. hiaks! now im absolutely drooling over the 2.55 chanel and a prada bag!! but they cost $4k+ & $3k respectively! how to buy? you tell me! *slap* back to reality.

Indy Jones 4
caught it yesterday evening with the husband. surprisingly, i enjoyed it. maybe for old time sake i guess. and it has shia beouf in it! hes darn cute! :)
but abit sad to see old harrison ford's hands shaking in some scences. hes really old liao. he was once my indy hero. quite depressing to see all those you like/admire getting old and then realising yourself are getting old too. *boo*

trip
the trip is getting more expensive than i thought. no thanks to all those optional tours. hubbi and i decided to take up all the optional tours available since we are already going all the way there, might as well try these new experiences. but they dont come cheap. set us back around $200+ per pax. AND the tipping is killing us too! almost $200 per pax too! thats why i dont like package tours. i rather save on the tips and plan the itinery according to own wishes. but lazy hubbi hates the planning and hence, we pay. :

still looking forward to the trip itself! cant wait! but camera died on us only this week! help!
now still thinking if should get a new one or just rely on the borrowed cam from SIL 1st. not that we've a lot of time left. havent exchange currency and havent make purees for the lil' one!!

hectic saturday!

1) jialing+yunping came to visit me at our house at ard 2pm. their first time meeting little baby YZ! :) feels good catching up with them. glad to know that yunping is getting married this nov!

2) set off for dynasty agency ard 4pm to pass them our passport details. cant believe we are flying off in a week's time! :)

3) and then its off to chinatown to change currency! and we went to cheong choon and in the end ordered a playpen for babY! its meant to be placed at my mum's place so that during our trip, its easier for her to take care of baby.. costs us $100 nett and will be delievered to her place early next week! :)

been spending quite a fair bit on the little one till we think need to stop laio. after the quest, we got him a britax omega car seat. and then now this playpen. and i ordered a play yard to be delivered to our hse in early july too! still, all these seem to be more needs than wants right?

4) off to marina sq for some shopping for mammy! its the GSS! but sadly all my fav. brands got no discount on regular priced items leh! like zara/topshop/selfridge/gripz etc. sigh.
but that didnt stop me from buying yet another pair of shoes! finally got a pair to match my orange bags! ha.

and i bought a polo tee from zara for hubbi too. when im gonna be jobless for the next 3 weeks. definitely not wise. but really, my fav quote, who cares?

my farewell!

finally, ive been in my ex company for 2 years and 2 mths! friday was my last working day there and oops-to-say, i was in a delirious mood. how sad right?
but really, im glad to leave. though i must say i ve left behind a fun group of colleagues that really helped to make my days bearable when i was there. :)

baby virgin swim!

hubbi and i brought baby to swim today! so exciting!
been planning this for awhile already. finally, we got the mushroom float and his wetsuit ready! :)
naive hubbi still want to huff n puff the float himself! siao! convinced him to get a pump and off we went this morning to tiong bahru plaza to get it.

so in early noon we pumped up the float in advance and get baby YZ to sit in it to get accustomed to it. heard from some mummies that their babies wail once in the float.

mushroom part still deflated. a very puzzled baby sitting in it.

yay mushroom is up and baby is happy!

at 4plus, we excitedly fed him his milk feed and proceeded to dress him up!
im all done! though this is abit oversized!

haiyo mummy, im okie in it. stop putting me in it leh!

and so off we went to my brother-in-law apartment for the pool! and baby had a great time there. but as i was afraid that he ll catch a cold, we only stayed a good 30 mins only before whisking him home again!

still uncertain what he should do

all in all, a very fun+ tiring day for baby im sure! but he never fall asleep right after it leh, much to my surprise. in the end, the parents are the one tired out.

so much so that we forgot to feed him his evening feed!! and we settled him to sleep at 830pm only to have a screaming hungry baby waking up at 9+pm. :(
felt so guilty and pappy quickly scrambled to make him milk. finally after feeding, a contented baby went back to sleep. leaving us to watch indy jones and the last crusade! :)
