snowskin mooncake with champagne truffles is DELICIOUS!

i bought 1 set as a mini after-dinner treat for hubbi and meself yesterday.
really, $48 for 8 mini ones is totally worth it.
the soft snow skin and melt-in-your-mouth white lotus paste is the real deal. and of cos, having the champagne truffle oozing out in the middle as you bite into it is divine!

haha u may think im over-exaggerating here. but you should try it for yourself to believe it!

baby yz is 10 mths old liao!

said this before but still must say again:
how time flies!!

now the little bub is 10 mths old liao! all is well except for the cough he is recovering from recently.
have changed his feeding schedule to 3 solids+ 3 milk feeds. hope this equates to better nutrition for him and will fatten him up in near future. :)

weekdays are always in fast forward mode. not much quality time spent with him.
how i wish i can be a part time stay at home mum! :(

sometimes, its good to sit down and look back @ all the fond memories created.
but now, i need to look forward in order to stay cheery.

1) mega bday bash for oct babies!
baby yz can meet up with babies his age and has a smashing time!
2) 2 years anniversary celebration with hubbi!
will be a day off work and spending 2D1N at sentosa. hopefully, will have a great time there.
3) cousin ROM at ritz carlton.
gotta burn a hole in the pockets but for a good reason. and i hope the food is tasty!
i love hotel buffets! :)
4) my routine scrub/massage & facial at the start of the month.
cant wait! relaxing time for me!

yah lah, this is a dry post for a dry month.

i can see baby YZ's bottom right tooth yesterday!
so now he got 2 teeth at his lower gums! :)
its amazing to see the lil' pumpkin grow up day by day!

and now he knows how to point with his right index finger! but not with the left hand. still thrusting his whole left palm in your face. heh
and his "一阳指" is very 历害。 he will point here and there, directing you to bring him to places or get him stuff.
and when u asked him where is the clock/toilet/photo frame etc, he can point with accuracy (most of the time) too.
and he loves to flip magazines and talk to me about it, sounding almost like he is asking "who is this? what is this" blah blah blah. heh.
he will bring the phone to his ear on cue.
everytime i sing and he in good mood, he will clap and kick his legs to cheer me on. :)

but the baby can be very notti at times too.
reaching for places he should not be. digging at electrical sockets. flipping and attempting to crawl when we wiping his butt cos he poos.
scolding and beating (on thighs/arms/palm) do not work. he will give this angry face and refuse to look at me.
at best, he glanced at me sideways.
then i will force him to look at me while continue scolding. (im a 烦妈)
then then, if he really in a notti mood, he will try to scratch my face. then i will slap his hand.
and if he in a 可怜 mood, he'll start crying. if not, he'll re-attempted to scratch me (!) a few more times then more slapping then cry! haha.

then after awhile, when i cooled off. i will hug him and clown ard him.
he will not smile one leh! very 记仇的小北鼻。LOL.
then i clown harder and finally he will show a tiny 微笑。
wah, this little boy is really ah...

anyway, my greatest joy before sleeping is to look at his sleeping face next to my bed.
then will go n kiss his face or smell his head then he'll be irritated and flipped away with eyes closed. hee.

p/s: he is still nursing that dreadful cough! really v heartpain to see him cough at night till he wakes up. hope he'll recover soon! then the ng family can go out and play during weekends soon!

tiring sunday.

1) left for in-laws house for lunch at 1pm.

2) made our way to GS's house for her baby daughter 1 mth old celebration! :)

luckily the "feeling" came back soon enough. heh.

3) met up with linda at my mum's place. nice catching up with her. :)

the baby leg warmers i got for baby YZ has arrived!
let him wear the stripped pattern one yesterday. my mum sneakily took 1 pair - the sibei cute star designs one for her place. i was thinking where can he wear that to?
to downstairs coffee house at ubi? lol.

anyway, baby YZ still nursing slight cough and phlegm. :(
so no going out gai-gai for him yesterday. we stayed at home for the morning and noon.
only made a short trip to great world to do grocery shopping + settle our dinner.

i like him when he has this sitting position. like very demure.

very excited. dun know bcos of me or the camera.

grocery shopping is fun-time for the lil'one nowadays as he enjoys sitting-time on trolleys!

updates on shopping:
9 more days! but i bought a few things in between then and now. :(
but they are needs lah.

-face masks.

after 2 weeks, my cough is finally gone.
but the sad thing is, baby YZ's slight cough has become a full blown one.
so he has a nasty cough, alot of phlegm and also runny nose. :(
good thing is he does not have a fever, still taking his meals/feeds well and is very active and playful! :)
been this case since monday and he has finished 1 course of medicine from the GP.
time to bring him to the PD tomorrow morning.
sigh, hope my lil' baby will get well soon. mummy is ok to stay at home with you whole weekend. but it pains my heart to see the little person cough n sneeze. :(

anyway, baby tried pork for the very 1st time for lunch today! think he seems to prefer fish to pork leh. but nevertheless, the good boy still finished his lunchie.

after his lunch, hubbi drove us to palais renaissance. meeting the girls at PS cafe for lunch!

baby YZ was very co-operative during our lunch. taking his 1 1/2hr afternoon nap while i ate and chatted away. teehee.
nice meeting up with the girls anyway. :)

after that, hubbi came to meet us and we proceeded to taka to get some home stuff.

national day - relaxing saturday

since baby YZ and me are down with slight cough, hubbi and i decided not to go anywhere crowded for the weekend.

still, staying at home is a super busy affair!

the whole morning was spent:

-having brekkie at redhill hawker

-buying veg+meat for baby coming week meals at redhill market

-making 1 week supply of fruit purees for baby

-cooking 1 week supply of veg stock for baby porridge

-feeding him his daily cereal brekkie + porridge for lunch

-letting him have his morning n early noon naps

-doing up laundry

-having lunch nearby for us

very tiring lah. :P

we left for great world city at 4+pm to walk walk abit n to settle our dinner for the night as well.

i didnt shop! :) 15 more days. :)

not much people there which is what we wanted. and i really enjoy outings with lil' pumpkin nowadays. he's fine in his stroller and he kisses me alot. hee. nowadays when he really want to be carried , can hear distinctly, "papa" or "mama bao bao". :)

i think he prefers me much more to pappy. hiaks.

seeing some mummies bringing their kids to try on kids rides, we let baby YZ has a go too!

nowadays not cheap leh, costs $1 per ride! what happened to those good o' 20cents rides?

hmm..

anyway he enjoys the ride alot! see below:

me just had a haircut by the way. i think i look younger with short hair, heh.

ok. its been a nice relaxing day. and baby YZ is sleeping soundly since 9pm.
good to have some me & couple time now. :)

was on half-day leave yesterday and it so happened that hubbi was on leave too! :)
so hubbi came and picked me up from my office and i brought him to eat at a famous duck rice stall near there.

after that, we went raffles city walk walk abit and guess what?
yup, i spent $ again. :(

the damage for yesterday short afternoon:
- a shorts from topshop
- a working skirt from G2000 pink label
- 2 bras from La Senza

i really should stop my mad spending habit. i BUY all kind of shit. really.
just last week, i think i bought >$100+ worth of baby stuff online. *gulp*
and also clothes, books, shoes, make-up, skincare, facial etc etc. argh!
but they are all good buys lah. so let's move on.

and hubbi and i finished watching prison break season2! we watched the last 5 episodes non-stop yesterday from 9pm-1am!
LOL. finally can erased them from my HDD and time to record the new season of HEROS!

all in all, a lovely day. except, baby YZ is at my mum's place. :

was out with hubbi and baby last sunday. popped back to isetan (like AGAIN) to get my supply of loose and pressed powder.
got myself a chanel loose powder (its good!) and shu uemura pressed powder (yet to try).

deciede to try lunch at a new eating place at scotts there named The Canteen. yah, supposed to serve local-styled food.

i got all the above at discounted prices (Metro-20%/Robinson-20%/Isetan sale-10%/Borders vouchers -30% off!)
sale is a ridiculous concept. it makes one broke when helping us to save.
