it's great that we've fun yesterday as we've been planning for this day for weeks! thanks to credit card reward points, we were able to book a night at conrad for only 160 bucks nett. the room will cost us ard $300+ originally for a night! madness!
so we checked in at 1.30pm (earlier than the stated check-in time of 2pm, being kiasu singaporeans)! i love the hotel. some said its 5 stars, some even claimed it to be a 6. whatever, i love the place regardless! it was the most luxurious hotel i ever stayed in my entire life. we've a huge classic room on the 21st floor with great view (facing suntec & river), huge bathtub with complementary bath salts, bathrobes, super comfy bed, body moisturiser inclusive even! i love to stay in the room forever!
i love our room. cosy!
bathed & ready to go!
dear dear and me!
we set off to do some shopping at orchard. we tried the ice cream from gelatissimo at shaw centre. i love the texture! it's almost like those gelato i tasted at italy! but taste-wise, i find them a little thin. aint as sweet as bravissimo. but yummy nevertheless!
we tried tiramisu & veronese (actually it tasted like rocher) chocolate!
after, its shop shop shop for us! yes, US! even ah long bought a polo tee, a shirt and socks! wow, impressive for someone whom i'm accountable for half of his wardrobe. ha.
myself? i've been deprived for too long! my last clothing was bought during my sunway lagoon trip (remember? eons ago!) in mid-dec 2005!
in the end, i bought 2 pairs of shoes and ah long get me a top! :)
i love the green one especially. i hope they don't give me blisters! (crossed fingers)
i love black & pearls. perfect!
dinner time! again, with the help of credit card reward points, we got ourselves $50 voucher for menotti (at raffles city)!
dinner was good. i especially love their lagsane & warm chocolate cake. i love the way they keep the lagsane wet and generous with the cheese and meat bits in EVERY single layers! i prefer their cake over bakers inn's one too. theirs is different in that the chocolate doesn't ooze out. but the taste is really good! *yummy*
bb with his linguine with lobster meat
me & my fav lagsane!
ooh....warm chocolate cake!
we take a slow walk back to our hotel after dinner. the area at marina square & esplanade is lovely in the evening! we lazed around more in our room till 9pm and then it's movie time! we went to catch "jarhead" at marina GV! the show was alright, definitely better than "walk the line". it has its funny moments, but sam mendes failed to reach me the way he did with "american beauty". sigh, i want a good film! will "brokeback" this coming thursday be the answer?
we dropped by Pan Pac on our way back to hotel after the show. i live the louge ambience there! they have lovely decors, strings of lanterns. for the festive, perhaps?
nice!
woke up early this morning for our complimentary buffet breakfast at oscar's! i really feel like a goddamn tourist, ha! anyway, was greeted by this lovely view!
:) breakfast was fabulous. They served charwanmushi! fresh milk, tons of fruits, congee with pork floss, siew mai, waffles with nutella! okie, im easy to please.
okie, then it's back to civilisation for us. heh. though today IS the actual day for our 4th year anniversary, we felt beaten out. after checking out at 2pm today, we left for my home and napped most of the afternoon away. ha~
on the MRT. look! he's smiling! he enjoyed himself apparantly!
i hope everyone has themselves a great weekend too! later.....!

Nice!!! Looks like you had great fun. I can't get over the breakfast at Oscar's, so good!!!! Chawanmushi and porridge and the usual eggs and sausage and do I spy a waffle??? You should see breakfast in Paris hotels - croissants, bread, cold meat, cheese, fruits, tarts, maybe that's it?
yes! waffles with nutella! i love it!!
