last working day soon!

i cant believe tomorrow is the last working day for me!
okie, i can believe it lah for i make it happen, didn't i? :)
finally, leaving this dreadful place (minus the peers).
really looking forward to the new workplace where work-life balance seems to be highly possible!
baby YZ, mammy will be able to feed you dinner earlier soon and not like now where i've to rush home like a mad woman. only to reach at 7+pm and sometimes to find an angry hungry baby. :
i really hope the move is for the better. at least the husband seems to think so.

that reminds me that ive been in the working force for coming 5 years (by this sept). how scary!
imagine at this point, im still undecided whether i should climb the corporate ladder or just go with the flow and basically be.... complacent.
given my nature, i guess the latter is not only more appealing but high chance where i'll end up doing too. *ha*

current phase of my life, my priorities are just baby, hubby, my family, meeting up with friends, travelling whenever time/money allows, catching new shows on big screens, reading new novels during leisure time, get a new piece of clothing every weekend etc. mostly generic and all so-normal. but really, to do all the above requires hell lot of time/effort. and really not much for my worklife. so, for those who know me, work has never been on my priority list at all before. and i intend to keep it that way. :)

but ironically, i need work to keep meself sane.

dan & ser bday celebration!

had a great saturday! met up with the gang for dan + ser's belated bday celebration at vivo's black society restaurant in the evening.

had a really good time just catching up with them and laughing over the silliest stuff. :)
and i still cant believe we wolfed down a whole peking duck between us. on top of our own dinner. gosh.
and that didnt stop us from having more desserts at ben & jerry.
yup in short, we ate alot.

and then its to dragonfly! my 1st time there.
had a blasting time cos of the great company and and and sylvester sim was there! hiaks.
im a big fan of him, okie!

and met up with fiona and gang too! darn happy to see so many old friends in the same night.

mammy LOVES long weekend~! for i can spend endless time with the little tyke! *grinz*
and so this monday is vesak day = more time with baby yZ! and we've a hectic day no less.
we met up with other october mummies + babies at hard rock cafe at 12+noon in the day!
as usual, mammy had a good time there though baby yz was a lil' grouchy and managed to nap a good 30 mins over there.
pappy was feeling nonchalent over the whole thing as usual. and i got to go round explaining to people i just have a nonchalent hubbi and he is NOT fierce. lol.
what to do?! baby, pls be like smiley mammy okie?
dont want you growing up like your no-fun pappy. heh.

sad to say, i didnt manage to take any photos there except ONE. ha.
cos HRC is quite dark and i was scared that the flash will hurt the babies' eyes.

shopping + pre-preggy weight!

i love weekends cos i got to shop shop shop! much to the dismay of hubbi im sure.
same for today. its lovely shopping time at orchard. muhaha.
everywhere is having sale!
and so i got 2 more tops from topshop! got 2 pieces at 50% sale and UOB card member got additional 10% off sale items! how sweet is that! 50%+10% okie!

oh, and managed to find banana boat baby sunblock at isetan supermart. going at 20% off and after using isetan vouchers earned from the private sale, it costs us $1.15 nia. lol.
cant wait to bring the little one to swim soon! but wait till he mastered how to sit first...

oh, and im finally back to my pre-preggy weight.
no thanks to being sick for the past few days. its really a lousy way to lose weight. :(

time to catch the tube with the husband again! we sound boring, hor? ")

and so we rented the jumperoo!

so far the little one is very happy with it.
however we only put him in it about 2-3 times per day. each session not lasting more than 15+ mins. any longer, he cries for us to bring him out anyway.
so quite glad that we rent it instead of buying it.
i can foresee him getting bored with it eventually or getting too heavy for it. lol.
but rental not cheap okie! abt $40+ for 3 weeks nia.
hmm, still thinking of renting the exersaucer after this. hiaks.

isetan private sale + day out @ central

isetan private sale is here again on thurs! went down with hubbi despite not yet fully recovered.
how scary, right? and its all for the little baby again.
i think for the next one, its high time i go to it for meself! been too long!
madness trying to shop among so many people but managed to do it. so whats the damage!?

apart from the normal baby essentials like baby wipes/bottle cleansers etc, the biggest ticket item has to be the maclaren quest!
yippee, we gotten another stroller for pumpkin. cos we feel the combi very wobbly to begin with and seems a tad small for baby. and he seems to be very restless in it.
so, quest it shall be! think we got it at a good price. less 20%+3! :)

by the time we covered the 4th floor, not much time for myself. how sad.
but i MUST get something for myself! so in the end got foundation and foundation brush from shu uemura! :) this is the 1st time in my life that i 'll be using liquid foundation!
*wee* and its as good as what the promotor claimed! except my face does get a lil' oily at the end of the day. maybe its the humid weather?

anyway, went down to central area for the evening.
baby was thoroughly happy in his quest! :) he fussed very little for us to carry him and even napped a good 30 odd mins in it on his own!
hubbi and i have a nice time walking around clarke quay area. it has changed so much!
so many nice restaurants and all. we stopped by this really pretty dessert shop to wolf down a cake and a waffles. ha.

all in all, a very nice saturday evening spent by the ng family.
except for the really hot weather. bleh!

i've a major cursh on baby YZ! hee.

went to the prima revolving restaurant last last sunday for my MIL's bday lunch. again, quite upset that the location aint very baby-friendly. imagine having to take a lift all the way to the 9th floor only to find another flight of stairs to climb up before reaching the restaurant!
in the end, i got to huff n puff with baby YZ in my arms and hubby to struggle up with the pram and baby bag.

pissed with hubby never get involved with deciding the location. if so, he can at least suggest a more baby friendly place. pissed with his family again. again they never think for us. a lil' selfish if you ask me. :

whatever, must remind meself not worth it. not worth it.

last saturday popped by vivocity for dinner. again, his parents last minute say wanna join us.
hmm, knowing that im very NOT prone to last minute changes, hubby still go ahead and ask them to meet us there. *sigh*

in the end, get into another row with him. why must things turn out like that everytime?
dont they get it that saturday is our day and sundays is for family?
i really dread if they start this kind of nonsense everyday. wah lau.

1st time there and to my surprise, its not as big as i thought it would be. thought it ll take over the entire BIG superstore previously. instead it took up a portion next to the food court only. still its the biggest mothercare in sg.

check out maclaren quest and cant really get it out of my mind. i want it! for baby YZ!
but he doesnt like his current combi leh. maybe its combi. maybe its just that he doesnt like to sit in a pram. if its the latter, quest will go down the drain too!

anyway, cheapo mummy let baby YZ tried out the exersaucer in store and he enjoyed it tremendously. wonder if i should get it?

very sick

last time, a very naive me likes to ponder over which is a better illness - flu/cough/fever?
and a very naive me will conclude that fever is the most okie one.
since you just got to drink lotsa water, eat medicine and rest alot and VOILA! the fever is gone.
sounds pretty easy, huh?

like real lor! now a very matured *ahem* me knows the truth.
no illness is okie. all make you feel like shit.

so yesterday was down with a killer fever - hit 39.5 degree celcius at 1 point and my whole head was so heavy and feeling groggy like the whole day.
whole body was burning up, esp the head and my eyes feel like popping themselves out of the burning sockets.
really, not a good feeling. cant imagine those who has fever above 40 degree and over a few days!!

lucky the fever subsided by this morning but the throat still feels very dry and nursing a cold too. super sianz.

hope can get well soon and get to hug n kiss baby YZ soon!

i really believe that blogging makes an extrovert more extrovert.

the thing that i fucking hate most is when someone concur with me on something previously , and then the very next moment when tested on the spot where his/her opinion lies, he/she turns around and backstabs you, leaving you to feel like the big idiot.

i term this WEAK. and no principles. fucking deserve no respect from me.
so spare me the nonsense about asking respect from me.

and its the background+culture lah. my mum 不是乱盖的 hardworking okie. she is very 自动 and gets down to housework chores ever so ready and fast. and she spends her time on socializing, cleaning up the house etc and definitely NOT on tv. even if i offer my help, she ll still get to chores fast cos she cant stand messiness and a big fan of cleanliness.
its okie when you are not the above, you are just normal like me. but pls dun anyhow term someone as hardworking. i dun even really think my mum is hardworking and its freaking unfair to her when i saw others not as hardworking claiming/be claimed as hardworking. *pui*

i've always try to treat people with basic respect even though many to me really dont deserve any. but pls dun take that for granted. respect by right needs to be earned.
not cos you are more senior, a guy, an ang moh or anything.

again its the culture lah. when most people in a family is very self-opinionated and needs repeated reminders to see from people perspective and follow instructions, then really, there's nothing much you can expect from them. in the end, YES THEY WILL DO WHAT YOU WANT. but do they really see where you coming from? NO, absolutely FUCKING no. in THEIR opinion, they are just doing you this huge favor by doing what you REPEATED remind them to. but again and again, they slipped and forget stuff and do they CARE? absolutely FUCKING no again. cos in THEIR opinion, its not wrong to do what they think right? DESPITE THE FACT that they gave you their words they will do things your way by pretending to concur with you. which brings me to the 1st point. they pretend only lah.

wah lau. all kind of people exists in the world.

yesterday.

an easy day at work and going off on the dot. (read: no deadlines)
went home to do some simple housework chores (ie: vacumn, boil water).
then off to mum's house for nice pipping hot home cooked food (esp. the soup!). *yummy*
fetched the lil' pumpkin home and settled him to sleep by 930pm.
spend a lazy hour watching "prison break 3" with the hubby from 10-11pm, even though the husband found it not nice.
then hubbi prepared milk for the baby and everyone asleep in bed by 1130pm.

now he masters the art of fake crying to get attention and it gets really tiring to the ears at times.

so nice to see all the mummies + babies after chatting with each other for months on the forum. heh.
