gym & gg5

so, i have started my gym-ing days 3 weeks back.
so far (fingers crossed), i have been hitting the gym twice a week.
still too early to say how long i can keep to this frequency, but i think my flabby tummy will continue to be the best cheerleader, urging me on!

after 2 weeks + of no shopping, im finally back in action with gg5 sale.
visited different branches over the week/end and bought 2 dresses & a pants. :)

peak period is coming for me!

finally, the day that i dreaded for almost a year since i joined my current company is coming - new releases to current system!
yes, the new system will be going live from next monday!
and that means we have to come back to the office for closing over the weekend. @_@

the only silver lining is my boss is giving us 2 off-in-lieu for every day that we are coming back.
so after this weekend, I'll have 4 off-in-lieu! :)

since next week is the school holidays, i'll be utilising 2 days off on tue & fri to spend more time with the boys.
something i've been looking forward to. :)

i hope i can last the days to come...
apart from being on leave for monday this week, i will be working daily until next tue... zzz

tortuous morning at botanic garden

 it is a crime to go botanic gardens on such a hot morning!
we stayed for an hour or so there before the heat chased us out of there.
and when we tried to settle lunch at food for thought there,, it was packed to the brim.
really. what a brilliant idea to go there on such a hot holiday morning.

well, the boys do have their share of fun still.

i love long weekends!

having the knowledge that tomorrow is a non-working day makes this sunday a very happy one. :)

both hubbi and i spent some time with our friends today.

for him, its jogging ard marina bay area with his friends in the wee morning! - what a hardworking man. @_@

for me, i met up with part of the gang for non-stop chit-chatty from 1-5pm straight.

it is always lovely time meeting them and catching up with the happenings in our lives.

and of cos, learning how much can one really spend from going to a club in london.

tsk tsk.

after the mini-gathering, back to spending time with the family again.

we made our way to tampines for a simple dinner @ nando, cut YR's hair and bought some assessment books for the boys from popular.

simple happy day. my kind of day. :)

LOL, and its all because of channing tatum!
finally, i have the opportunity to catch the show myself while the husband helped to settle the boys to sleep at home just now. :)
though the plot is rather so-so, but i like tatum's performances (yes, both the dancing/stripping and the acting part) here.
and mathew mcconaughey surprised me with his voice too.

all-in-all, the $11.50 is well spent. :P
he is the only actor, apart from leo dicaprio, whose films i almost caught all!
next up, GI Joe 2. yeah!

nua-ing at home

i love saturdays where i get to R&R at home with the boys.

our saturdays are falling somewhat into a routine nowadays.

phonic lessons in the morning for the boys, simple lunch outside before heading home.

bath them and we are all ready for glorious nap in the afternoon. :)

then we will head out in the late afternoon to wherever we feel like...

today is not much different.

we let the boys play in the balcony for awhile.

告别肥胖的日子。。。

ok, i may be exaggerating here but its a fact that i've put on 2.5kg since i joined my current company 1 year + back.
not sure if its the lack of exercise or the excessive indulgence of supper (for the record, i've been having the jumbo kit kat at night for the past 2 weeks. @_@).
its hard to cut down on the sweet/savory stuff so i guess the natural choice is to step up the burning of carbs.
somemore, there is always the natural and genuine advantage of improving my general well-being from exercising.
SO, i've signed up with fitness first at the office tower next to my workplace.
such a smart ass, i am. :)

yesterday was the first day of gym day.
opted for combat class initially but alas it was postponed so settled for a short intensive spinning session.
just 30mins but i was pretty wasted and gone half way through.:(

i may have thick thighs but they are definitely not as strong as they look...
oh well. easy first session - i know i know, some will be horrified at my 30mins (only) gym session.
combat this fri! i hope i can last through it... been >1 year since i last went to one. :(

and now, i have this craving for chocolate yan yan.............................................

Happy birthday, singapore!

we were lazing at home for most of the day and only moved our butts in late afternoon.

off to vivo to avoid the crowds. yes, it was really not too packed there yesterday.

dinner was early at jumbo steamboat.

our first time trying and i must say the ingredients are really fresh, esp. the fish and prawn!

yum... though the price is a little steep if you ask me.

talking about lazing at home.

i was very busy catching up with my korean drama serial while the men in my life was taking their nap!

i have finished 秘密花园 last week and suffering from some withdrawal symptoms!

the classic scenes kept replaying in my mind and i found myself replaying my fav. episodes now and then! gosh.

the only way to move on is of cos to hook onto another serial.

and.........now im absolutely hooked onto........ 绅士的品格！

the script is written by the same person who wrote 秘密花园 and she managed to work the same magic here.

slowly enveloping you in the plot and developing feelings for the characters! LOL.

张东健 is back in tv serials and he really can act!

its a great show with 4 uncles as leads showcasing men as boys who never grow up but just growing older. :)

talking about show, we just caught total recall last sunday.

i think i much prefer the original though the setting and action sequences are not as sleek as the re-boot version.

still, the original boasts better dialogue, most shock elements and a better ambiguous ending.

and during all these activities, im trying to read a fascinating book half an hour before sleeping everynight...

embassytown by china mieville. 

the book is too cheem for me and im reading at a snail pace of 10 pages per night.

a record for me. but it was so good i want to savor it... ha.

so ive been indulging in my favourite activites for the past 1-2 weeks, what is better to conclude the holiday yesterday than shopping!

wahaha. despite gg5 having sale, i cant find anything i like to get this time round...

instead, i got a peplum top from topshop. :)

need to catch up on sleep this coming weekend!

drama serial chasing is too tiring!

home with the lil' nut

my 宝贝 is down with fever and cough today so i work from home to take care of him.

compared with gor gor, didi is much better with entertaining himself and not so demanding on my time and attention, so i can work in peace mostly.

left: its a mad hot day. clipped up hair like mama haha.
right: i was working in front of the PC in study room, so he went to take his pillow and  臭臭 and climbed on the bay bench to nap so that he can be close to me. :)
yes, sleeping with the clip in his hair still. LOL.

busy week is over

finally, the busy month-end closing is over!

its really getting very tedious, this vicious cycle of mth-end closing for people in finance line like me.

zzzz.

but all was good yesterday when my team went off on time!

we went欣叶 for yummeh taiwanese cuisine @ liang court and then to partyworld for some serious ktv-ing after that.

*woohoo*

im glad i didnt wake up this morning with a sore throat cos that's what usually happens after a ktv session.

looking forward to a short week next week with the national day holiday and working from home next friday. *wee*

now, to enjoy a relaxing weekend with the husband and boys first. :)

bottoms must wear twice before washing mah, to save water.
