17 times and counting...

hubbi and me love travelling!! (or so he proclaims.)
hence, we've been each other best (?) travel companions for the past 7 years.
yup, ah long and me have been together for nearly 7 years! but lets talk about this in another post.

so. on one night not too long ago, i asked the husband how many trips we've been to together.
and so we sat there counting and i was really surprised that he remembers all the trips!
he actually manged to get the sequence right though i can even get the timeline right even.
heh.

and so, ah long+wenhui have been to these places since we got together in early 2002!

1) KL Jul 02 - yup, our 1st trip together was just a humble short trip to kuala lumpur! wat to expect from 2 poor uni students. heh. we went via the KTM train and its really a lovely experience to take an overnight train. though the time taken is sooo much longer as compared to coach.

2) Hong Kong Dec 02 - we did all the touristry things like going to the peak, mdm tussauds etc. oh, and of cos shop and eat till we drop! nice cool weather too! :)

3) KL Jan 03: still poor uni students. esp after so fast after our previous trip to HK last mth, so to KL again for us. i dont really remember wat we did there. ha.

4) Genting May 03: we've finished our last sem papers! a small break for us before our graduating trip! baby treated me up together with his parents! eeks! but we managed to spend most of the time alone except for dinner times. heh.

5) Italy + France August 03: our graduation trip! moi 1st time to europe too! we agreed that this is our favourite trip. :) my 1st time to disneyland too. n italy! me still hasnt learn italian till now. bleah.

6) KL Dec 03: this is our 3rd trip to KL in 2 years. and i think it really put us off. so we didnt revisit it till 07.

7) Bintan Aug 04: nothing much to do there but we got to spend quality time just chatting and doing nothing by the beach. the next time i go back, i wanna try club med with hubbi and baby yz!

8) Australia Dec 04: wee! one lovely trip too! i esp. heart melbourne! i cant imagine relocating anywhere but for melbourne, i'll definitely reconsider. oh, and the little fairy penguins from philip island! :)

9) BKK Jul 05: so dirty there till my forehead break out big time when we were over there. bleah. nothing much for me to buy too. never revisit it till today.

10) Sunway Lagoon Dec 05: a nice short getaway with baby. but i lost my K750i there. pui.

11) Hong kong Sept 06: i cant go for my honeymoon straight after our wedding so i anyhow slot in this short trip right after it. heh. now that i got spending power, SHOPPING for me! i totally love HK clothings+ shoes! oh, n disneyland HK too. :)

12) Turkey+Greece Oct 06: our honeymoon! coldest holiday to date. temp drop to zero celcius at one point. and mist coming out of your mouth as you speak. isnt that wonderful! heh.
greece islands are sooo nice but seriously i like turkey more. their guys are very handsome. *ahem*

13) Cruise (Phuket/Penang) Jan 07: OK trip nia cos travelling with in-laws again. bah. phuket is really nice with its clean pristine beaches. but aftermath of tsuinami lor.

14) Cruise (KL/Langkawi) May 07: cruise again cos lao niang is preggy. and too chicken to take the plane. anyway, this is the most horrible trip for both of us too cos i was very sick with asthma and feel like dying the WHOLE time. wah lao. now i super paranoid of the feeling of being enclosed up in a cabin.

15) East Europe Jun 08: most expensive trip for us to date. even more so than our honey moon which we were away for 3 weeks +! i think i will never take up a package tour again. ridiculous! hubbi lah, lazy to plan for F&E. :P
but really a surprising nice variation from central europe. i learnt alot about history there.

16) Genting Nov 08: up to the clouds again! this time gambling is the highlight! heh. a really good short getaway for us. :)

17) Cambodia Dec 08: finally seen the angkor wat! we've been wanting to visit it since uni days but kept postponing it away in lieu of "better" destinations. the trip is a humbling one and again, travel teaches me about humanity more than anything else in the world.

18).... *drum roll* yup our 18th trip is coming up soon!
europe, see you again in march! *grinz*
clue: i finally get to go where i wanted most since 2001.
