V-day @ east coast

vday falls on a saturday this year! normally in the past, hubbi and i didnt really celebrate this day for it falls too close to our anniversary date which we place more focus on.
but since its on a saturday, we decided to bring the lil' pumpkin out for some fun.
spread the love to him too, heh.

hubbi suggested east coast park and so we went!

we set off at 3 sharp, the woes of OPC car.
we stopped by shell to get some tibits and drinks. upon reaching, we fed yz his milk feed while hubbi and i sat on a towel and feasted on our stash.

after that, i brought yz to the sand and showed him the sea.
it was really great to see him pointing excitedly at the sea and chanting, "sea sea sea.". :)
he was a lil' apprehensive about walking on the sand and asked me to bao bao him at times.
but he got good at it and ambled around like nobody business.
at one point, i took off his shoes + socks to let him get a feel of the real thing.
he seemed to enjoy it lots! :)

we decided to be adventurous and rented a double bicycle with a baby seat!

hubbi took the front seat for 70% of the time. i cant really kept the balance well when seated in front and too many people on wheels around me make me feel frantic!

baby seems to enjoy having the wind in his hair but still, he was a little cranky towards the end of an hour ride.

guess it was because he was due for his late afternoon nap.

we made a few stops during the ride and one of the stop is near the big splash where they have some sorta car boot sale going on and this mini car circuit.
both the boys were fascinated with the small sets of wheels!

we had a light dinner @ gelare before leaving the place to vivo!
me bought my 1st top from topshop after a hiatus from shopping for the past 1 1/2 mths!

and at a good discount of 70%! even the husband is impressed and approved the purchase. :P

reached home by 9pm and settled yz to sleep by 10+pm.
hubbi surprised me by ordering my fav. supper - - - - - MAC! :)

and we caught a show on PC -- *In Bruges* while eating.

i guess this part is the real valentine for us. :)
