we were pretty done with central taiwan.
itinerary for today will be for us to visit 青青草原 and we can then bade adios to cingjing and make our way back to taipei!
ahhhh, im a city girl. :D
it was a struggle for me in the morning if i should take a bath!!
sooo cold and i was so reluctant but the next time i can bath will be late afternoon when we reached taipei. :(
so i did it and it was torturing. :(
this is the humble abode for our 1 night in cingjing.
it feels like makeshift accom set up in container to me.. @_@
we had brekkie at 9+am and once again, its time for the minsu owner to drive us to the farm.
we left our luggage at the minsu. the arrangement is that the taxi we booked will come fetch us with our luggage at 1+pm at an agreed central location.

the farm @ 青青草原 is more interesting for the boys than me definitely.
i kept shouting at them not to step on the droppings (which are ALL over the place) of the sheep... @_@
for me its the scenery that attracts my attention more.
ahhh, the view. we are so high up in the mountain!
during this trip, the boys understand that in real life, sheeps are more brownish than white. LOL
surprisingly, the farm given its size and performances (horse riding, sheep shearing etc) actually took up almost 2 hours plus of our time.
from the exit, we walked down this long flight of stairs (~ 500 steps!) to reach 半山 where we can have our late lunch and meet up with the taxi driver as agreed.
500 steps is really nothing much for both the husband and myself but the boys, esp. YR, surprised us by walking down the whole flight themselves!

at 1.30pm, we met up with the taxi driver so that he can send us to 台中 HSR (high speed rail) station.
the less than an hour drive down the mountain is like the last straw to me.
i really have enough of sitting in cars!!!
and the first half of the journey down the mountain involved a fair bit of 发夹弯... if you watch 头文字D, you will know what i meant.
super winding and not so safe.. its really an uncomfortable ride down the mountain.
we boarded the 2.30pm HSR to taipei and when the train started moving i felt so happy.
i was telling the husband that i cant wait to reach taipei after so many days out in the "wilderness" lol!
we rolled into taipei city in exactly an hour time and we cabbed to our hotel in a jiffy.
our "home" in taipei for the next 4 nights!
our hotel is cityinn ximending branch.
though its size is less than desirable (really not much space to walk about after the luggage is opened..), the room was very clean and finally we can control the temperature of the room!! *touched*
all of us took nice warm baths and just enjoyed a moment of lazing in the warm beds.. :)
we moved out at 5+pm in search of food.
for the evening, the plan is to get lost in XMD! yeah!
we were lost and not sure where is good for dinner upon i chanced upon this restaurant - 大车轮!
back in 2005 when i visited taipei with ser ser we came to this restaurant twice cos its sashimi is so good and pricing reasonable.
when hubbi and i came in 2010, i brought him to this restaurant too.
and now! it's still in the same location and of cos we have to eat here as the boys were very intrigued by the train going round the counter. ha.
very satisfying meal - yum!
we continued eating as we walked around XMD after that.
cannot resist - too many tempting 小吃 here and there!
still, we were back in hotel by 9+pm for it has also been a long day for the boys.
all the walking in the morning, commuting by car/train in the afternoon and skipping the nap.
and we will be having a long day tomorrow so best to get the rest!
tomorrow will be a day trip to 九份， 野柳 & 基隆！
