advanced bday lunch celebrtion - dozo

like last year, hubbi brought me out to celebrate my birthday in advance.
with 2 kids in tow, it is almost impossible to have a nice dinner without them.
unless we decide to inconvenient my mum by asking her to babysit them for the evening.
but it will be a hectic one as we've to ferry them to her house and then rush back after to fetch them.
hence, hubbi and i decided to take leave today together and enjoy a day without the kiddos for my bday. hiaks.

like last year, bday treat was for lunch as we need to fetch yz from his childcare in the evening.
after reading positive reviews online, we made reservations at Dozo jap modern cuisine @ valley point for lunch today!
the restaurant decor and ambience are nothing fantastic but the set lunch was rather impressive (at least to us!).

our starter: scallop, foie gras & smoked salmon :)

after that, hubbi had mushroom soup & i had crab bisque soup!

my appertiser: escargots in cheese/butter garlic while hubbi had chawanmushi with truffles added to it

hubbi's main: lobster gratin with pumpkin puree & risotto

my main: baked cod with potato croquette & rissoto

and then its finally our desserts where i had warm chocolate cake w vanilla ice cream and hubbi had mochi w black sesame & green tea ice cream.

*yumyum*

we were nicely full after all the food as the portions of all the courses aint big but just right!

after that, its shopping time for us!

though more of window shopping for me as its berry hard to buy things with the husband. LOL.

after all, i had (sorta) bought my share from the recent topshop sale - wahahaha.

i've managed to get a harem pants, a top & a jumper.

and judging from the selection @ wisma isetan & ion, i shant be getting anymore...

anyway, back to shopping with the husband!

finally, i know what to get him for his birthday! *phwee* its getting harder and harder as the years pass!

hope can get it successfully tomorrow!

as for myself, i managed to check out some prices for my "wants" for 2011. :)

it has been a really good day out with the husband!

we should do more of such outings next year! :)
