merry x'mas 2005!

MERRY X'MAS!!!!!

yup, it's my favourite day of the year again! by that, i refer to x'mas eve! yesterday has been tons of fun for me! i met up with dear dear in town to catch "king kong". the plot was so-so but i love the effects. oh, and i cried when kong died and slided off the building :P. and i wish to clarify certain things to mad D & JX here:
i DONT have heart-shaped nostrils so im NOT queen kong.
ZM is too tanned now to be Ann darow
SH, grace and candice are still qualified to be those T-rex though :).
make GB the kodomo dragon eaten by those T-rex instead. muhaha.
tanny will still be the unlucky (unlucky, but never die in the show at least..) bat.
JX will be the old native woman, courtesy of mad D.
mad D will thus have to be one of those giant leeches who got chopped off. *evil laugh*

and the show was darn long, 3 hours!!. i've to take toilet break which i insist, is RARE, for me.
dear dear and I had dinner at NYDC later.

i love their baked rice! *YUMMY*
i had gift exchange with bb on x'mas eve eve already. this is my 4th x'mas with him! but i'm still very happy to spend it with him. :)

ah long with my x'mas prezzie for him!

ah long with one of my gifts for him! a zhu zhu just like him!

as for his x'mas prezzie for me? i got it long ago at sunway lagoon! its da pink panther skirt wahhaha. i love it so much at first sight, hence he offered to buy for me as x'mas prezzie. yup, im disgusting...i wore it many times like way before x'mas day itself. ha~

after dinner with him, dear dear was a sweetie to send me to eunos before i went off to meet the usual "king kong" gang at east coast. we took alot of crazy photos, did more crazy things, esp mad D (you'll see why later!).
we met up at kenny rogers before setting off to chill out at the beach!

we were slowly but surely going mad, absolutely without the help of alcohol. look at us posing with all sort of rubbish things!

we just settled on our beach mats when mad D started his mad antics! look carefully at the black striped thingy round his chest.. YES! thats my cardi! i told you he's MAD!

we popped our first red wine soon after and zm caught on the mad virus soon. here he was pretending the cork to be a cigar. gou le, zm! stop your "act-cool" posing!

if i'm not wrong, we drank like 3 bottles of red wine and 1 champagne between the 7 of us? correct me if i'm wrong! and we started playing truth or dare. yes, at age 24 we are still doing bo liao things like this. and anyway, its more like truth or truth, for the dare is by default "eat a mouthful of sand". lol~ so everyone opted for truth automatically. as i said, we were mad yesterday!

look carefully! zm is still continuing his "hey i got a cork, nope make that cigar between my fingers" stunt!

so we played truth or truth and let me tell you, its amazing how one can sprout all kind of (true) nonsense under the influence of alcohol. let's just say that we learnt each other dark (and i really mean, DARK) secrets yesterday and yes, we wont be seeing each other for the next 6 months till time allows us to forget about yesterday.

mad D is at it again! that's my x'mas prezzie for JX and again, he has to stretch spoilt all our clothing!

umm... mad D at work again...umm...

yeah! we are the evil trio!

all in all, i really had tons of fun yesterday! much better than squeezing alongside with bangla or those teenagers who spray all kind of nonsense on you at orchard!
友情万岁!

note:
1) any of you mad people yesterday who wish to download photos, please go to http://wenhui2.fotopic.net/c804709.html and download them in original size.
2) if anyone of you see mad D, ask him to upload his pictures too. it's gonna to be hard, we are not gonna meet for the next half year, right?

i've enough of ASIA!

okie, let's do a summary of my travelling in the past one year.

Last dec this time
i went to australia (namely sydney, melbourne, gold coast & brisbane) with ah long. i've a lot of fun there! esp. day trips to great ocean road and philips island, movie world, climb up the sydney bridge etc.

melbourne is my personal fav! really hope that i'll have the opportunity to work there in the near future for a few years. i would have gone to down under a million times, if not for it's expensive air tix and accom. bleh~

May 2005
off to china with chee yong & fi! we got to go to shanghai, suzhou, hangzhou, nanjing and wuxi(the jiangnan area) for a mere $600+. its really a good deal! so remember to purchase package from NATAS fair next time you go travelling!
the trip was really fun, mostly due to the company. but shanghai is really cool (minus the fact that people shout and spit there..). its top on my fav cities list!
my only regret is i miss the chance to visit the great wall at beijing there. beijing was out on our itinery due to the high added cost involved if we were to add it in. :(
i want to visit beijing with dear dear!

June 2005
it's off to seoul with my mum and brother! the most expensive trip for this year for i got to pay for my mum share *ouch*. set me back around $2k for this trip! *madness*
seoul shopping is really good! but i dont like that cos out of 10 things i saw, i LOVE 9 of 'em but i can only afford 1~2 pieces. shopping hell.
i definitely wont be going back so soon for Hong Kong & Thailand is better than it for shopping wise, china scenery is much better and culture wise, i'm more interested in what european countries got to offer. so korea, so longggggg.......

July 2005
its shopping time at BKK with dear dear! it's been a good 14 years since i last went BKK with my parents? the last time i went, there's absolutely no shopping involved. i sat on top on elephants. i got to take pictures with rare white tigers (i even held on to the tail of one of 'em. luckily for me, they were all chained up..). i went to watch drag queen show (no stripping but still, im only 9 years old then. how on earth i got to enter the place is still a mystery.) and get all puzzled when my dad told me those are uncles up there when all i saw were pretty ladies singing and dancing on stage. ate spicy food and came back to singapore with 40 degree celcius high fever. what a trip! lol~

so this time round, i shopped my heart out. for 4D3N, dear dear and me just went around eating and shopping non-stop. BKK is really a good getaway (only 2 hours+ by flight!) for plain shopping and eating. it's like a cheap version of HK without tourist attractions. at least HK still have peak etc. BKK has nothing. its just hot, dirty and full of traffic jams. but shopping is good and that'll keep me going back in the near future. :)

Dec 2005 I
off to bintan with my colleagues! tried a new water sports ~ body board surf. it was really fun! though the trip was an extremely short one (2D1N), i had tremendous fun!

Dec 2005 II
as mentioned in previous post, sunway lagoon with my dear dear! i've phobia of m'sia actually. I've been to KL 4 times and genting twice in the past 3 years. that's why i chose sunway lagoon this time. its been 10 years since i last went there and it has chnaged beyond my memory.
hence, i really enjoyed myself this time round in m'sia (minus the stupid fact that i lost my phone!).

looking back, i realised i've been travelling round in circles in asia!!! i'm seriously getting sick of asia! i want to go places in other continents!!
look like i can only venture out of asia when my honeymoon comes about in oct... boo~

i cant wait that long! beijing or cambodia next june, here i come! any takers?

back from Sunway Lagoon! happy & sad....

hello peeps! i'm back from Sunway Lagoon! "Malaysia....Truly Asia..." i'm happy and sad at the same time..... why?

lets talk about the saddening part: i LOST my hp. yes, my one-month old sony ericsson K750i. bloody hell.
i was so devastated when i realised that my hp was not with me. luckily it happened on the last day, just before i boarded the bus. so i cried (a little lah!) on bus and was sad for half the journey back to singapore. but i'm fine now! all thanks to my dearie bb!
normally, i'll be inconsolable and will push blame on him etc etc.. but he managed to calm me down. dear dear, you are right. there are worse things one can lose in a trip, like passport, digital camera (CANNOT IMAGINE!) or wallet. and most importantly, we enjoyed the trip and were safe and sound. so i guess i shouldn't let a missing phone get me down for too long right?

furthermore, bb has aided me to swiftly settled the admin aspects of losing a phone. i called starhub to teminate my sim card once i reached singapore yesterday. got myself a replacement sim card first thing today and dearie lended me his own SE phone as my substitute phone for the time being! :)

okie, i'm gonna get myself a new phone tomorrow! mum has been super nice to upgrade her plan for another 2 years so i can get a new phone cheaper! also, dear dear has offered to subsidize for my new phone too (for he is also partly responsible for me losing the phone, bleh~).
*sigh* SE K750i is no longer in my league. it's too ex! i guess im just not fated to have it.
thinking of either nokia 6230i or the pink motorola razor (so cute!). its functionality vs design. which should i go for...hmm?

okie...back to the happy part: SUNWAY LAGOON TRIP ITSELF!
we stayed at sunway lagoon pyramid towers. the hotel was really gorgeous, being 4 star at all and it was not really too expensive either.
so on sat morning, we were already in the bus to M'sia, bright and chirpy...

but as usual, ah long snoozed away shortly after...:P

finally! we are in our hotel room! i love our hotel! its new and nicely furnished. room is roomy and clean too!

us in our room!

love the retro design at the lift lobby!

nice x'mas decor at the hotel lobby.

anyway, first day of the trip was spent at pyramid shopping centre! it was big, and just nice enough for a whole day of eating, shopping activities. we caught the movie "Narnia" too and movie tix is dirt cheap there! RM20 for 2 of us, can you believe that!

tea break at A&W (a must whenever i visit M'sia! i miss the curly fries!)

dinner was at this jap restaurant called "sushi king". the seaweed was soft and stick to the rice. the agedashi tofu tasted like chinese tofu (i swear i can taste ginger, tell me how is that possible?!). their saving grace were the nice chawanmushi (did i get the spelling right? heck.) and katsu curry rice! *yummy*

anyway i bought a shorts that costs around RM48? and dear dear bought me this cute skirt. you see, there is a shop there which sells nothing but pink panther clothes! yes, you heard me right! PINK PANTHER! so f**king cute.

second day at sunway lagoon was spent at.......sunway lagoon theme park! where else!?

check out my yummy breakfast! the egg tasted so good when eaten warm!

see, i told you my hotel decor was great! even its cafe!

queuing up for the theme park. a little mistake to go on a sunday. boo~

dinner was at secret recipe. again, they are so much cheaper when compared to spore..

yup, my favourite pink panther shop! and i'm wearing the new skirt bought from the same shop yesterday!

i l-o-v-e this unique chair at the lounge area in my hotel! i saw it somewhere in a home decor magazine before. its amazing. comfy to sit in, and once seated, its like a cocoon and is a little sound-proof. you are like in a little red world! *cutez*

we went chilling out at our hotel lounge during our last night there. as it was happy hours then, my red wine is cheap cheap, ard RM$11. :)

yup...i bought another top from the pink panther shop. i just cant resist it....ha.

for our last day, we went klunch, ummm...nope make that red lunch for the karaoke outlet name is red box! ha. and it was super duper cheap! we sang from 11am to 2pm with lunch thrown in (filling lunch like fried rice and char kway teow!) for only RM20 all in all! *madness*

ha, all in all. i really enjoyed the trip! i love short getaways with bb!

bb asked me a question on the way back on the bus. he said if i know that i'll lost my hp, will i still go ahead with this trip? my answer then was a flat "no" with a sniff.
but thinking back and looking at the pictures, i guess the trip is really a worthwhile one. we enjoyed ourselves and we never had a single argument throughout the trip! now, thats something! ha!

perhaps, love

i watched "perhaps love" alone on tuesday. some movies are better watched alone. i really feel this way. so far in this year, i've watched "perhaps love", "prime", "sin city" and "closer" alone. however, the best movie i've watched alone so far is "motorcycle diaries". that was really good.

anyway, back on "perhaps love". the movie is a bizarre one (at least to me!). and 金城武 is the only saving grace. not because of his looks (though that helps lots!) but because his acting in the show is totally 不留痕迹!

the movie talks alot about love and memory. reminded me a 短文 on memory.
here it goes:

photoblog!

it has been a busy weekend for moi!!! and i've tons of photos to blog! okie, let see from the many many photos below to have an idea of how much fun i had for this weekend!

FRIDAY - D&D
our D&D theme for this year is bollywood hollywood. but our team has never follow the theme dished out to us before so for my 3rd D&D this year, we chose our own theme as usual!
The theme we chose is FBI and we were cool ha! check out the pictures below!

we are the FBIs in short skirts wahaha.

*smilez*

our fellow colleagues dressing up as arabian princes!

check out our pretty legs! *lol~* do you know which are my legs?
its the 2nd one from the right! :)

we've captured a playboy bunnY!

my favourite team! sometimes it saddens me that i found them only in my 3rd year in audit. cos i'm leaving soon. hmm..i dont want to but the workload is only getting heavier as i stay on. the only way to escape the shit is to quit soon. :P

group pix!

and our partner (yup, the one on the extreme right. surely you can tell, right?) was game enough to pose with us! ha.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY - BINTAN

my fav. team and i went to bintan for a short getaway this weekend! and it was a cheap one too. it costed me less than a hundred bucks, with accom, transport, food and water sports activities thrown in too! *cheap cheap*

i really had a great time except for the time my lousy sensitive skin react to the seawater and for a few hours, i spotted angry red rash on my neck and chest! *bleh*

this trip really serve as a great opportunity for us to bond greatly. this is really good, going forward for our busy peak period!

okie, lets check out the pictures!

on our way to Bintan on the ferry. bintan is only a stone throw away from Singapore! 45mins by ferry! everyone should go!

happily playing "guesstures" in our room! the game goes like this:you have to gesture (yes, no words allowed!) and hope that your team can guess the word you picked four cards, put 'em in a gadget thingy which will start "swollowing" the cards in good time so you got to gesture fast. .
ha, i learnt a new word "siesta"! it means a nap after lunch!

group photo after having dinner at pasar oleh oleh! the "orchard" road of Bintan. lol~

we were the winning team for "taboo" the game! we are very intellectual! we are the woot-ta-lah team (completed with a bizarre, stupid move by pointing to our very own left armpit!) ! haha!

as opposed to the loser "nachos" (what an uninventive team name!) team!

playing "hunter & bear" game. yup, it seems like we keep on playing games for the whole trip but it was really fun! we were "sleeping" and wondering who will get killed by the "bears" this time round.

*sobz* we were "killed" and we were innocent! :(

all packed up and about to leave for the ferry terminal!

mana mana, we'll miss you!

we are jumping jacks!

46th month anniversary - monday

its our 46th month anniversary today! dear dear brought me to a burmese restaurant at peninsula plaza for dinner! realised burmese food tasted similarly to thai food!

I had pineapple fried rice and our appetiser is myamar tofu which tasted superd when piping hot. having said that, it means that you really should try not to let it go cold...

bb ordered fried vermicelli and it was only s0-so. a tad too oily too.

myamar milk tea aint too bad. but gimme thai express milk tea anytime! the honey taste is just too good to be missed!

okie, this is a super long and not-to-mentioned time consuming post. i'm gonna to sleep soon, though im not working tomorrow! heh! :)
