and so, hubbi and me both took friday off to spend a night at rasa sentosa as a pre-celebration of the occasion.
we got ourselves a seaview room which aint great cos can't really see the sea with the many trees. x_x
still, it was a nice detour from our usual movie-window shop-dinner celebration prototype.
we woke up early at 9+, did some housechores (yeah, life goes on..) and then headed to tiong bahru for grocery shopping (for the baby!) and had mac brekkie! then we went home to pack and left for sentosa soon. we checked in at 2pm and found the hotel location great - its on siloso beach itself - but it was abit shabby compared to our last local hotel stays (conrad + pan pacific).

after settling our stuff, we left to find some activities and some food for a late lunch.

sentosa has change so much since my last visit 3 years ago! hubbi and me had fun exploring the different shops lined along the beach front. and we tried the sentosa luge and skyride. we opted to take the skyride up the other side of the hill and came down by using the luges (small sleds like thingies)!

the ride up was a mistake. i confirmed that i ve fear of heights! and it got so high up at a point and the thing stopped for god-knows-wat reason and it swayed with fragile me on it! i teared.

yes, the experience was that horrible for me. no way am i gonna do this another time. gonna take the tram/walk up to enjoy the luge ride down next time!
but the ride down was very fun! though it was over in a flash. and stupid hubbi was cheonging all the way down despite me shouting "wait for meeeee!" " let me overtake youuuu.....!" for the 1st half of the ride. after that, i never bother. humpf.

after that, sentosa is really quite bored for us. we've visited most of the attractions that last time we were here (yes, even the images of singapore!). so we board the monorail and made our way to vivo for our dinner.
the monorail cut through what will be the sentosa resort in 2 years time. cant wait for it to be completed. it looks huge and promises to be choke full with entertainment.

dinner was at akashi for ive the craving for sashimi! after that, we headed back to our hotel and stayed there for the night liao from 8+pm! LOL. but it was really nice just to chill in room, watching trashy shows on HBO with hubbi.

wanted to head out to cafe del mar late at night but no surprise, we were beaten with the day activities and were zonked out. ha.
next time, must bring baby yz with us to sentosa! i can imagine him having fun on the beach and exploring underwater world perhaps!
