my baobei turns 5 today!
its always the intention and plan to spend his actual birthday quietly and it's no difference for this year.
the day was pretty much the same as a normal weekend where the boys stayed at home during the day to have their nap before we ventured out.
just that, the birthday boy and brother got to watch alot more tv today given it's public holiday! :)
we left the house in late afternoon and headed out to east coast given the good weather (a good departure from the crazy heat during the morning/early afternoon!).
we tried the family-cycle today!
the boys were pretty excited sitting in front while papa and mama huffed & puffed behind.
ok, its not that bad actually - good exercise for us..

after dinner & cycling, we left for parkway parade to place order for yz's birthday cake to share with his class on coming monday.
we bought a small slice of cake with a candle home to celebrate too.
back home, with the lights dimmed and candle lit, we asked the birthday boy to make a wish to which he replied:'甚麽?"
and i told him to think of something he wants to have or happen and he retorted:"我不懂要想甚麽.." LOL.
oh well.
for the past year as he turned from 4 to 5, we do see changes in him (part of growing up!).
he started to infer more things on his own.
he is definitely more self-opinionated now.
he is easier to reason with now.
he can be cheeky and knows how to talk back at times.
he is starting to show his bad temper seemingly inherited from me at times. @_@
and the list goes on....
it is interesting and heartwarming to "grow up" with him as he taught me all kind of things, including about myself, that even im not aware of.
baobei, mummy wishes for you nothing but H&H - health & happiness in that sequence. :)
