and if you are in the finance line, quarter-end spells trouble. :(
so on top of my regular reports to be generated for evey month-end closing, i've to churned out additional reports for quarter-end. PUI.
and every month, i've a 50% chance that the numbers will screw up and i've to do OT to churn them till the reports turn out right.
AND of cos, the numbers must do their part and be all messed up for this month since its the quarter-end mah.....
sigh.
so after going off work fairly on the dot for most of the time, i've to pay my dues during month-end closing.
so for the past 2 days, i knocked off at almost 730pm.
at the risk of being hurled stones by those whose knock-off time at 8pm is a norm, i must still say im very upset by the timing.
especially when i normally reach home at 6pm on a normal workday!!
finally, the storm is slowly blowing over by today.
i managed to go off slightly before 6 and that calls for a celebration, no?!
after fetching the son from childcare and reaching somerset to pick up the husband at 640pm, we managed to park for free at the single yellow line stretch opp. singtel building. :)
my mood perked up immediately and all the fatigue from work just faded away from my body & mind.
normally, this ah long is totally not keen on an outing @ orchard road on a weekday.
but i guess he feels that i deserve a good break from my work too. hehe.
for dinner, hubbi bough yz & me to try the food @ paradise inn at 313.
*yum yum* the pork trotters noodles and stewed brinjals with minced meat are good.
its good unwinding time eating good food, chatting with the husband and playing with the son.
after dinner, hubbi took care of yz while i shopped in peace @ some of fav. stores - gg5, zara etc.
bought a plaid pants from zara! *sweet*
and we went to harris for books, yz's & my fav.!
decided to grab a simple read - vampires diaries book 1&2 by LJ Smith.
hubbi decided to buy for me - a sweet gesture from him. :)
after that, its home sweet home for us at 9+pm.
though just a very simple evening of dinner and shopping, it really made my day.
sometimes, life is really just about simple pleasures.
